Well worth a visit if visiting Durham. The hall has lots of food stalls as well as some good Homeware stalls, you can basically get anything here!

Market on saturdays is great the outside stalls, the ladies clothing stall called Alavyah is especially nice so wife said. Theres vintage jeans and other stalls too. Well worth looking round and grabbing some bargains.

Loads of market sellers. Everything located inside by the city square. I found a retro toy stall and bought loads of star trek ships. There is a guitar shop too. Some stalls do not have aisles big enough for wheelchairs.

Lovely lil place lovely tolerant town actually. Bought a lovely new bag from the Turkish rug shop and my daughter a purse. One of the people working in the Queer bookstore was a person who smiled at me in town before I got there I liked that.. proper cute 😍 🤣🤣

Plenty of lovely stalls in the old market building with interesting variety, from your typical market wares to bookshops, trinket shops and more. Nice little cafe upstairs with plenty of seating. Great atmosphere.

I do love popping in to the indoor Market it has some brilliant family and independent run stalls which is why I go, some of the stalls I loved unfortunately are no longer open but I do support everyone who is still thriving in there as should everyone.

Brilliant place to shop, almost anything that you could need is here; haircut, piercings, tattoos, fruit n veg, craft beer, sweets, kids toys, books, records, movies, jewelry, antiques, household stuff, collectables, specialist foods- meat, fish, cheese, herbs n spices, houseplants, cards, crystals, suitcases, upcycled gifts, fabrics, clothes and a little cafe upstairs. So I'm going to spill the beans... Durham seems to be divided into two groups, the villagers and the city folk. Many villagers think the city is 'all set up for the students' and that Durham Market Hall is the only good thing left for residents. Having lived here for years now I personally think the city is geared towards tourists almost as much as students but what I suggest is that everyone should visit this market to keep it supported for many more years to come! We need small businesses like these to bring that bit of magic into our lives instead of having to interact with an AI bot or automated checkout bleep machine, a real specialist to chat to is going to light up anyone's week. Blessed be the Market Hall!
