Big pub. Does contactless. Cheap drinks. Huge bar. Loads of seats, has a Duke box. Could do with a lick of paint but nice local pub. Looks like a nice beer garden. Seating outside front and back with big car park. Not sure if it does food. TVs for sports.

I am a former employee of the happy wanderer and wanted to let anyone planning on working there DONT. I was sacked under the terms of unfair dismissal, the pub has then continued to ignore my emails and phone calls about the money they owe me, despite a solicitor trying to contact them. The punters themselves are lovely and the drinks are cheap but to work there was a living nightmare.

Usually good Food. Our local over the road. Sunday Roast have been fantastic. Changed hands and under new management. Tried the Sunday roast after the changes. Generally good food. Meats melt in mouth and tender. Vegetables little hard, and undercooked. We passed the feedback on which was gratefully received. We will still be back soon.

The fact the staff did not intervene during the abuse of the two Palestinian students took place will tell you everything you need to know about them! I guarantee it could have been an Englishman with a different accent would have been enough to trigger these cave dwellers! Note to staff.... hang your heads in shame! And start educating yourselves.

Terrible service from the actual manager, who didn't know how to operate the till and did not apologise or offer a swap/refund of a mispoured drink. No atmosphere apart from an uncomfortable one. Avoid this pub

Just been reading about a horrendous violent racist attack on some foreign students that began in the pub with a customer screaming abuse. All available whiteness say the staff did nothing. A.N.L. aware. Steer clear.

'What you permit, you promote. What you allow, you encourage'. If you stand aside and let racial abuse happen under your own roof then you're just as bad as the abusers.

Have just read about the racist attack in the pub which resulted in an undergraduate student from Palestine being racially abused inside the pub then badly beaten outside the pub, where the staff did nothing to stop the disgusting behaviour of their customers.....
