I thought I got in line in plenty of time for me to get a treat for my kids. Not so much. I waited in line for over 45min inside the cafe. Which if you are familiar with the Life and Science Museum you know that the cafe line can go all the way out into the train area. But this particular trip the line was inside, so I didn't think it should take long. I waited for over 45min just to get to the register. Once at the register the register decided not to work and wouldn't accept debit cards. At that point our train ride arrived and we had to leave. Needless to say my children did not get their sweet treat. Thanks for nothing Sprout Cafe.

We had a nice lunch here during our visit to the Durham Museum of Life and Science. We had the roast beef wrap with a fruit salad on the side. Even though it was crowded, service was fast. All the food was fresh.

As far as a restaurant inside of a children's museum goes, this is as good as it gets. High quality food at reasonable prices. The real winner on the menu is the three sides plate. You can get two french fries and a serving of hushpuppies for ten bucks. Ask for hushpuppies even if they are not on the board.

Service was good and all of our food was decent but my 2nd bite featured one of those little plastic clips from a bread bag..... Guess I ordered it extra crunchy or something. Simple mistake so I let it go but hopefully nextime my food doesn't include plastic bits.

I don’t expect much from a cafe inside of a museum but what I witnessed today was to many unsanitary practices. The major one being that one of the employees on the line threw away something in the trash, pushed the trash down, and used those same gloves to put together someone’s sandwich. After we saw this we asked the cashier if she could change her gloves to a different pair. This employee refused to do so and continued to make food. Another employee removed her mask, wiped her nose, and then continued to put sandwiches together WITHOUT washing her hands. Two employees weren’t wearing gloves at all on the cold station, not that it matters if these same employees tour has trash and then foos right afterwards. I mean really? I would recommend packing lots of snacks, I wouldn’t eat here at all. They should be ashamed.

Every staff member is amazing and helpful. A wonderful lady by the the Name of Ashley has the most warming personality I've ever had the privilege of being around. Clean, foods amazing. The environment itself has a way of just maintaining a glow of steady happiness and comfort. I can't wait to go again .. Soon. Family oriented and I even found out about a generous program they do to help serve the public in need, and providing food for less fortunate.Covid took a lot from us all. Thank you for your kindness and compassion to us all. Everyone should take a moment to thank this truly soul touching company for their outstanding performance and effort to give back in these times of need. #Mrs.Chubbs, you impacted me and my family in such a way through your genuine happiness and willingness to go above and beyond. It was as if she was taking care of her family/work children and truly loved it. We will always return and give many wonderful reach outs on why all our friends and family should put this as a personal priority (fun of course). A big Thanks to all the great staff!!!!

Good food. Decent prices for the location. The drawbacks...long line and they didn't get the order exactly right. They were so busy, so we didn't ask for it to be corrected.
