Wow! Came here for my birthday with my partner and I cannot fault it. The food was absolutely gorgeous and came in a timely manner. The chips & dip were warm and tasty. We shared the chicken & beef tacos with consommé (star of the show). And then we halved a pork burrito - which was giant! The flavours were fantastic and I would highly recommend to anybody who wants to find authentic Mexican. Best Mexican I have had in the UK so far.

The best place for authentic Mexican food in the North East, outstanding venue & food.

My partner is Mexican and she loves the place, the amounts are not great, and you have to pay for sauces separately which is a little weird, but the ingredients are true Mexican, very authentic, and they make their own tortillas on their own machine on display.

Absolutely amazing, really authentic, full of flavour and fresh. Waitress really went out of her way to make sure us and our dog were happy!

What an amazing place to have in Durham. Set in a nice, relaxed atmosphere, we had some very tasty tacos and starters from upstairs. We've also tried La Mesa downstairs and was genuinely one of the best dining experiences we've had - a multi-course tasting menu set in an intimate and modern basement.
Definitely not to be missed.

First time we've visited, called in for a drink, had delicious cocktails 2 for £ 10. Staff very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back, especially in warmer weather when we can use the outdoor seating area looking over the river to the cathedral.

Excellent food, best burritos ever, quality is fantastic and a great selection of cocktails. Staff were also very friendly and a very welcoming place. Must reserve a table.

Easily the best tacos I've had in the UK and very comparable to the quality and taste found in the American southwest where Mexican food is taken seriously.
The freshly-made tortillas and corn chips were incredible, as were the salsas. I honestly can't wait to return to Durham. Sorry for the photo, I was focused on eating.

Amazing little Mexican in the heart of Durham. Did not expect to find a Mexican place in the North East so was thrilled to try and it did not disappoint! The beef tacos that comes with the consommé is a must try.

Well well well…
This place was at end of our decision process of where to eat on a day trip to Durham.
The staff were fantastic and the food was brilliant! Especially if you like coriander (there was a little too much for us!).
The tacos were delicious and the black beans were covered in cheese, they were salty and so tasty!
Takes American Express and you order through a QR code.
Baby changing present.
