This is a pub with a great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon! There is the Musicians Unlimited Big Band playing all the classics, with very good musicians. The bar is stocked well with plenty of choice and had a good layout. You have that feeling of a traditional northern pub. Also check the pictures

Great to see a proper pub that isn't just a food place. We visited on a Saturday night when there was a band and a tombola raising money for Hartlepool hospice and the air ambulance. Fantastic! The place was packed all night. Good atmosphere. Nice little pub.
