Went to here for lunch. Service was good, food was lovely and fresh. Would easily come back for another meal. Recommended.
A fantastic find in the middle of Durham, a great family run restaurant, serving the most delicious authentic Turkish cuisine.
It was a first visit and we’re definitely going to return. Particularly enjoyed the Al nazik lamb kebab with smoky aubergine oh my, AMAZING 😋😍 we also had the Kalamari to share and breads, hummus and other tasty bites , and the spicy chicken pot, prices are great value for high quality beautifully prepared cuisine. Thoroughly enjoyed it,
the portions are enormous so you might just want to skip starters and head straight to mains! the ali nazik kebab has to be my favourite thing of all time on the menu, i have never eaten a more juicy, tender, succulent and flavourful lamb ever. And the smoky aubergine, yoghurt and garlic just complimented the meat very well. special mention to the kleftico and karniyarik which was amazing, i couldn’t find any faults with it either. left with a very full and happy belly, completely worth the money.
My dining at the Turkish Kitchen was an absolute delight. I ordered the Ali Nazik Kebab and it was one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had. The lamb was cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with favor. The smoked aubergine puree complimented the lamb perfectly, adding a refreshing touch to balance the rich meat. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was attentive and friendly. This restaurant truly deserves 5 stars. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in until we left, everything was spot on. We were greeted straight away and taken to a good sized table. Once we ordered, the food came out in good time, and I must say it tasted amazing!
The set out and ambience was really appealing. The service was perfect, everyone was very helpful and friendly.
We will definitely be back and absolutely recommend eating here.
We had a lovely lunch here, fabulous food, lovely staff, very pleasant atmosphere, some good deals available too.
Will definitely visit again.
Went on a lunch time. Food was excellent value. They do a 2 course for £15.
It was a busy Friday with a table 20/30 upon arrival and refilled immediately. Our food, starters arrived very quickly and were served hot. I ordered a starter, main course tea to finish. I wished I tried the Turkish tea or coffee. Starter spicy sausage, main course spicy lamb with rice. I think the prawns n sausage mixed together would be great together. Cocktail good too.
3rd visit to this place, the food is really tasty, well cooked. The breads are a little hit and miss but that's all, reasonably priced and swift, professional service. Be aware, the mixed grill is enormous so no need for starter ..
A fantastic venue for authentic Turkish food, a wide range of dishes to choose from and a good selection of drinks, all the staff were also very polite and helpful, definitely worth a visit .....
