The woman at the bar at 7.30pm on 7.06.2025 didn’t give very good customer service. She was extremely miserable and in polite whilst serving us. Almost like she was judging us. The pub is great, she was not. Unhappy with her service.
I've always loved the Angel. Typical rock bar, great loud music, brilliant Duke box, seen some great bands in here over the years.
Cracking beer garden/ sun trap. It even serves Staropramen now. What more can you ask.

Nice old school metal bar, free jukebox on a weekday and serving pints of gamma Ray too. Lovely staff. Up a pretty steep hill that catches you out after a few ales.
It's hard to rate this place on a Monday night. I would need to come back on a Saturday... And 20 years old, and into rock music... I bet it's awesome. But not for me.
