Often described as the only alt pub in Durham, The Angel has a great punk style and nice beer garden with decent views because it's higher up :) Definitely add to your pub crawl.

Been going here for well over a decade now. Great music and the vibe is consistently mint. Like there was a fight tonight and nobody really cared. You won't find a better pub in Durham.

Nice old school metal bar, free jukebox on a weekday and serving pints of gamma Ray too. Lovely staff. Up a pretty steep hill that catches you out after a few ales.
