Have been to the orange and lemons a few times recently and it has always been really nice, we sat outside today in their lovely courtyard. The food is always extremely good, everything was well priced, the staff were friendly and attentive. They even managed to get us some chilli jam which wasn't on the menu to go with our skin on chips which was a really nice added touch. We will definitely be back again soon!
Rating as a cafè. A family-run business offering home-made food (with vegetarian options) and excellent cakes, plus an eclectic range of gifts, housewares, pots, plants etc. I visit here regularly, in preference to the local pubs. Service is sometimes a bit slow, especially when it comes to paying, but is always very personable.
What a gem of a find! Beautiful cafe in an old pub in East Bergholt, only 20 minutes from Ipswich. Very warm welcome and lovely ladies serving you at your table. The menu is comprehensive, with something for everyone. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, we weren't hurried in any way and had time to chat etc. We both chose breakfast baps and they were fabulous. You can taste they were made with top notch produce, all washed down with plenty of tea/fruit tea. Just a shame we hadn't the room to have a piece of cake, which all looked amazing! We'll have to return for cake!! Well worth a journey to visit this lovely cafe/tearoom.
Had a lovely afternoon tea for two here today. Wonderful home made cakes and scones. Perfect finger Sandwiches with friendly staff. Would recommend and visit again 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Visited here for the first time with our puppy as we knew they were dog friendly. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard. Lovely coffee, nice breakfast. Cakes looked lovely will definitely go back again. Brought out treat for our puppy. Lovely, friendly welcoming staff.
The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It’s a lovely cafe, filled with beautiful plants and home touches. It’s the perfect spot for get togethers and catch ups.
I was very impressed with how light the cake sponge was. And the cake isn’t overly sweet. The cake slice is also very generous.
The coffee was more milk than coffee but that’s more my personal taste.
There’s parking on the premises and plenty of street parking.
It’s definitely worth a visit!
Yes we loved it here we had afternoon Tea so lovely sandwiches but too many cakes a lovely place just to relax and unwind and enjoy a lovely herbal tea.
My dad and I often frequent Oranges and Lemons. The coffee, tea and cakes are superb. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful with dad who uses a walker. We particularly like sitting in the courtyard when the weather is fine. Inside the cafe, the ambience and decor are very comfortable and there are lots of gift items and cards. Perfect if you want a last minute present. We have also bought plants exhibited at the front of the cafe outside. We are very grateful that there are disabled parking spaces, so dad doesnt have to walk too far. The main meals are delicious and the quality is consistent. I would recommend a visit, particularly, if you like locally sourced food, freshly cooked!
