We had a absolutely wonderful meal here on Sunday lunchtime, the Lamb Shank was lovely and the Snickerbocker Glory was a great sweet end to the meal, lovely and inviting staff. Well worth a visit anytime of the day.
We were looking for a pub with a view - the Folly Inn did not disappoint. What a glorious setting. The staff ensured our whole experience was enjoyable, from the quick phone call checking whether we needed to book a table, to the welcome and table service after we’d ordered our food. The two starters and sharing platter were served in good time and were all excellent. The chips were great! We felt the prices were reasonable and will definitely return.
My husband and I found this place completely by accident but so glad we did. Big car park and absolutely stunning views from inside or out. We spent a lovely 2.5hrs over lunch on the terrace watching the boats and people coming and going. The wildlife was great too. We watched Egrets catching little silver fish just over the wall as the tide came in. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The service between courses was a little slow but it was busy so understandable. The food was very nice only dropping a star as both of us ordered chicken (different dishes) and found it a little over cooked or poss microwaved so chewy. The sauces and salad dressings were delicious as were the prawns and squid. All in all a really great place to enjoy lunch with a view. We will definitely be back. Thank you Annie
We Parked up at Island Harbour and walked our dog along the river to the Folly. It's an easy walk and just long enough for Shelby our Labrador to burn off some energy so that we can sit and enjoy a coffee or as on this occasion a meal on the terrace. The meals are good and Shelby had a sausage and a few chips. I had a burger and Lee had the salmon fish cakes both excellent, served by attentive staff
Must be one of the best settings on the island. My vote for the best pub as well. We've been a couple of times recently, and it was busy both times, but it has plenty of seating inside and out. The food was lovely, great staff. If there was a competition for the best toilets in a pub or restaurant, it would win that as well.
An amazing place with great staff. Jan was our server and was superb. Food was top quality and great value. Get the water taxi and turn into a whole experience.
It's been several years since I have been here. It used to be great. Then it was then indifferent. Now seems to be good again. Good food excellent service and fantastic setting. Live music Friday and Saturday night apparently
Lovely location, the road down is in a real bad state of repair but don't let that put you off. Staff friendly and food is good. Portion size is generous, drink prices are great. Food prices, IMO are just a few pounds over priced but compensated for with the drinks prices. All in all would visit again especially in good weather, lovely outdoor eating areas. Brownie sundae was delicious
Off the cuff visit. Had a couple off sharing platters between 4 of us. Most delicious especially with the surrounding views and atmosphere. Will definitely go back again.
Food was great, ordered the scampi. Service was good, didn’t have to wait long. Definitely recommend 😁👍🏻
We were 3 visiting yachts, Relax, Running Wild and Jessica.We stayed for 1 night on Wednesday 21st of June. We had a fantastic evening meal. The staff could not be more accommodating. I have visited the Folly for many years and the refurbishment of the pub and the new shower block is fantastic. I would highly recommend the Folly for a visit
