Fantastic food and polite, attentive staff. Between the 4 of us we had many dishes off the menu and all were wonderful. Some inventive cookery and flavour combinations but with some more classic options if you are feeling less adventurous. The variety and seasonality means I would happily go back again many times. A very fair price for such high quality cooking. My only criticism is that the dining room still feels exactly like an Indian restaurant and could do with some personality being added into it - maybe some art on the walls?

Refreshing to see an exceptional restaurant with great food and service in EG. I would go as far as saying the food is at Michelin star level without the price. Food portions are perfect, giving you enough space to accommodate a starter, mains and desert with pallet cleansers in between. Service was very attentive but not overly so. Definitely deserves a few revisits to sample the other dishes. I’d go as far as rating this as the number 1 restaurant in the EG vicinity.

Honestly the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! The staff where exceptional and the owner/chef is such a lovely guy. The food was the best I’ve had in a long time and well worth every penny. I celebrated mine and my boyfriends anniversary here and will definitely be returning! I lost my wallet on leaving and they went above and beyond to return it to me. Thank you!!x

Food is a step up on The Fountain with amuse-bouche and lovely wine to compliment. I had the trout fusion starter and the mushroom gnocchi... both outstanding. The staff were accommodating and the dining room was clean but lacked atmosphere but not sure what more they could do as the space is small. Fine dining experience and worth a look at the wines.

We’ve just come back from an amazing dinner. The service was impeccable and attentive, the music was low-key and very relaxing. But the food, well what can I say? Sad to say I didn’t take photos of every course, as it arrived it was devoured. Every course was stunning, the amuse bouche, the canapés, the warm bread, the pre-dessert as well as what we had ordered from the menu were of all of outstanding quality. The parsnip starter with goat curd was to die for. I don’t think we left a bite between us! We will definitely be back. Book when you can, take the plunge. This gem of a restaurant deserves massive success.

Overwhelmed by the genuine service offered by Andy the chef/owner. He enabled us to celebrate my partners '50th' in style. Communication was excellent. Excellent presentation of food ( even managed to get to plate from take away boxes) and so delicious. We had the best lunch - full 3 courses :) > So happy to recommend and can't wait to go to the restaurant when it re opens. Don't hesitate to order or book here

We had a delivery from the takeaway menu this weekend. The food was hot, delicious and delivered on time....as well as being super reasonably priced for the quality received. Everything was beautifully plated within the containers but sadly my plating skills were no match when transferring to plates! It felt a real treat to be eating restaurant standard food for a special occasion. As adults we had three courses but the kids also enjoyed burgers and the lovely desserts. Would definitely recommend and look forward to bring able to attend in the flesh when we're able. Thank you Restaurant 186 for enabling us to celebrate a family birthday!
