bought a voucher, £29 for 2 x 6oz steaks with all the trimmings with a bottle of wine. We ordered starters...me the mussels and my husband the black pudding with poached egg...both were amazing. My hubby stated the "6oz steak meal wouldn't be big! but it came with thick cut home style chips, mushrooms, tomatoes, salad with a lovely dressing and a peppercorn sauce, the steak was cooked (medium rare) perfectly. We both struggled to finish our meals. Greedy husband had also ordered a side portion of onion rings and they were home made & excellent. The house wine with the meal was lovely....we were apprehensive beforehand but would happily order this again and at £13.95 a bottle it won't break the bank. The service was excellent and we have to apologise for not leaving a great tip worthy of service...we hadn't been to a cash machine beforehand but we will be back and show our appreciation....overall a fantastic meal and service.
Little gem in ek! Amazing food.... Seafood chowder was absolutely delicious, in fact i couldnt complain about any of the 3 courses. cant believe i never knew about this place before now. White chocolate and vanilla cheesecake was to die for. Cant wait to return. Service was fantastic.... Friendly staff and compliments to the chef. Will be back for te xmas menu! First class!

Fantastic meal by all 4 starters 2 people on soup one on poached egg black pudding one on goat cheese , 3 for xmas dinner loads of turkey , one roast chicken and 4 sticky toffee pudding , service was superb with drinks and food bill was fantastic price and very nice touch with appetisers before starter we’ll done guys !����
Last minute booking on 5pm and had the weekend set menu. From start to finish the food was excellent. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more friendly. Will definatley be back and will recommend to all our friends. ⭐️
Took my boyfriend here lastnight for his birthday meal. First time for him, tho iv been a few times with family. Always a fabulous meal here and lovely friendly staff. Thanks for a great meal and service.
Honestly, a fabulous meal and service...Hubby had Seafood Chowder, said its was to die for! I had Mussels which were delicious. Both had Steak with all the trimmings and onion rings... honestly couldn’t have done anything to make it better! So full we could eat dessert! So not like us�
Booked my brothers birthday dinner here last night. Food was unbelievable great service from the staff. Would highly recommend.
Visited here with some friends for a post lockdown evening out.
The staff were very friendly and attentive the entire evening.
They seem to genuinely care about each and every customer.
The restraunt itself was very cosy and welcoming.
The food certainly did not disappoint either.
We each had our 2 courses and couldn't fault them one bit.
My only criticism of our evening was very long wait times between courses.
We had initially planned to have desserts after our main courses but simply ran out of time.
I will say however, that the staff were very apologetic about the wait, explaining that the kitchen had fallen behind.
They comped our drinks and gave us some free sides without us even having mentioned the wait which was a nice gesture on their behalf.
I will certainly be back in the future and would recommend to friends and family!

We had a family wedding here, from the perspective of a guest, I was delighted with the experience. The food was lovely.
Black pudding and poached egg starter: the black pudding had a wonderful sweetness to it, my egg was a little under cooked. Never stopped me clearing the course (🤭)
Steak, triple cooked fries and pepper sauce, main. The steak had a wonderful char grill finish and was cooked as I had requested, it was really nice slice of beef. The pepper sauce was spectacular. The guest next to me, stole my chips to dip in my pepper sauce (cheeky!)
Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream with a fresh raspberry garnish dessert: simply delicious.
The waiting staff were polite, courteous, attentive and very friendly, whilst keeping the proseco flowing. The event moved like clockwork, even with some last minute changes in seating plan by the wedding party. Well done!!
I'm sure the bride and groom will be as delighted as I was.
I would highly recommend this venue for an intimate wedding dinner ( I imagine there were around 30 of us.)

Fantastic restaurant! Visited for a works night out and they delivered fantastic service and food. They even went above and beyond, preparing individual dishes to take account of my serious food allergy. Fantasicly impressed, and thoroughly enjoyed the night! Well deserved five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our family went tonite for Mother's Day and it was the first time we had been although we had wanted to go for a long time and let me say it was a lovely evening had by all of us...the staff were great and so good at what they do,by far one of my favourite restaurants now...loved it...top rating from us 😃
Great staff. Food lovely & expertly cooked & presented. Had evening & lunch means, but only given pre-theatre menus. Daily specials board quite good. Would definitely recommend & return

The staff are lovely! Friendly and explain everything you need to know. The food is wonderful. Full flavoured and presented beautifully. Will definitely be back!!
