Best restaurant in town by far! Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Being half Italian I am fussy with Italian restaurants in the UK. But this one beats most restaurants in Italy. The food is out of this world. Would highly highly recommend.

Everything was stunning and delicious - the lasagna was outstanding and honestly the best I have ever tasted (I stopped mid mouthful).

Booked a hotel just round the corner. Because we took our dog with us ,we decided on a takeaway pizza. The place had a proper pizza oven, which meant the pizzas were authentic Italian pizzas. The toppings were so tasty, Just what you want on a cold evening. If we go back we will sit in next time. The staff were very helpful, and friendly.
We went there for the second time for lunch and Laura has been the perfect host, from her beautiful smile to her passion for her job, while helping us in chosing the best options for our needs! For a saturday lunch the place was surprisingly empty, a place like this should be crowded at all times because of the genuine and excellent food and service! We shared a focaccia with porchetta (traditional roman roasted pork) and cheese for starter and the main was with meat and potatoes.
YOu can take anything unfinished back home, including the bottle of wine we had.
Anima e Core is definitelly worth your visit if you fancy something truly Italian, cooked by Italians using Italian ingredients.

Wow what a perfectly lovely authentic Italian restaurant. The dishes we had were perfect from start to finish and so wish there was a restaurant like this near where we live.
We found this little gem by accident as we were planning to go to a different restaurant but I'm so very glad we ended up at Anema e Core. By far the best Italian food we've had yet. Can't wait to get back to Eastbourne and book a table here again! Would recommend to anyone. Thank you to the staff and Chefs for making us feel so welcome and producing such delicious meals.
WOW! Came with a friend after many recommendations and this place did not disappoint. The pasta is freshly made and the food is so authentic. Could not fault a single thing. Delicious food, friendly service, fabulous wine and a lovely quaint atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back!
quite possible one of the best meals I've ever had ! the picture is of the starter myself and my 2 friends had, as you can see the portions are not small ! although fried, my starter was very light and tasty. for mains I had the mushroom risotto, it was incredible, very rich and creamy but not too heavy. my friends had the lasagne, they said it was the best they'd ever had, I had a taste and it was delicious, again full of meat but not too heavy, and again large portions ! the staff were brilliant too. I will definitely be coming back here again
Our first time eating here , what a fantastic place , lovely decor , spotlessly clean , lovely people that served and cooked for us , food was fresh and so tasty , we will be back and will be recommending to friends and family .
Nice atmosphere, good service, clean and modern restaurant. The owner very nice person. Fresh food and very tasty. As Italian living in UK, I recommend this place.
