Fine food, just as it says on the outside. The gastropub is quite large and has a great atmosphere to it. The dining area is separate too, which I think makes dining have more of a restaurant feel to it.
The service was top-notch and very attentive. They just need to work on their homemade ketchup - it was a bit strange do we ended up ordering those mini ketchup packets for our chips instead.
Food was good. Decent pub grub. Homemade pie and mash was spot on. Only niggle was that they charged for an extra jug of gravy. Other than that it was lovely
Went in for a pre theatre meal. The two for £20 is great value. Food was well cooked and tasty. Service was pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.
Food was superb, so much of it, the Yorkshire puddings were amazing!! A lovely venue, nice surroundings and good service, will be going back there myself!
Excellent roast and portions . Everything was home made and fab yorkshires: Staff very attentive. Asked for extra gravy and a boat came ! Would go back
A gem. Good beer selection. Real ale was in excellent condition. Burger was top. Only problem was lack of room for dessert, which looked amazing. The bill was surprisingly low so perhaps the staff could be paid more.

A free house establishment catering for those wanting the finer experience in drinking & dining. Cracking selection of ales of which are kept really well, my friend loved her wine, and the food is really tasty.
We were served by Drew, the manager, and his knowledge and service was second to none, friendly chap who knows his stuff…….
We have eaten here a handful of times now and the food is consistently good. The portion sizes are decent and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a Sunday roast today and popped in on the off chance, we could see they were really busy and they did warn us there might be a wait for the food but actually considering they had a couple of large parties in, the food came fairly quickly. The roasts are really delicious. I can recommend the beef.
