All Decked Out

I made a short stop here, on a coach trip on Friday 21 April 2023. It is very close to the coach drop off point on The Grand Parade, and this is also where you can pick up the sightseeing bus. I went down a short flight of steps with handrail. As the name suggests, the place has a small wooden deck , right on the beach, in front of a kiosk, with approximately 8 picnic tables and benches. I had a tasty 🍦! This would make an ideal spot to watch the annual Eastbourne Air Show, in the summer, as the planes come over. There are public toilets a few yards away. You can also get a close up view of The Pier. One caveat, :dont eat your bought in fish and chips on their tables! I understand that this business also has a pub on the Pier itself.

What a lovely cafe. Perfect views, lovely staff, great service. A good selection of food available; prepared with love, care and very reasonable for what you get. You get the feeling the staff love what they do and want to help make it as enjoyable an experience as possible. This has been our favourite cafe on holiday and we were always pleased when seats were available. A special treat at weekends includes Pimms and other alcoholic beverages. We have visited most days!
