We came here for lunch today but found it was closed :( There was a notice on the door saying closed from 13.08.19 until 17.09.19. So just letting people know so they don't have a wasted journey here! Looking forward to coming here again soon for another lovely lunch!

We came across this cafe after visiting Waitrose. The cafe is on one side of the car park. The welcome was great and after seeing the roast veg salad the day before we went back to try it. Excellent. It is closed during August. Go in September you will not be disappointed.

Have never been here before but will definitely be going again. We were going shopping in Waitrose, Old Town, so parked in the car park there and walked to this cafe which is just back from one side of the car park for lunch. There were already quite a few people in here. The lady serving was very friendly and helpful. Had a sausage roll with salad with a large glass of red wine, Merlot - this was excellent value at £3.90 and tasted realy lovely. The sausage roll was so tasty as was the salad, it had a lovely side to it, a mixture of cream cheese, beetroot and horseradish - this was superb and went with everything so well, loved this unusual combination. Hubby had a cheese and ham toastie which he really enjoyed. He also had a strawberry milkshake and asked if he could have it made with ice-cream which she didn't have but offered clotted cream instead - it was really good, tasted like strawberries and cream. Our lunch came to just over £18. Service was excellent throughout and the lovely lady here made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble and we are so looking forward to going back soon.

Every dish of our delicious dinner had a unique flavour and texture. The desserts were especially creative, a surprise for the taste buds and a real talking point. The unfussy yet stylish decor is both calm and quirky. We loved it - wish it was in Brighton as we don't get to Eastbourne that often.

All great - the food was excellent and the desserts truly amazing - Eastbourne you have a treasure if it was in the East Village in NYC you'd have to queue for hours.

Me and partner really enjoyed the authentic tapas, real home made food - you could tell all was made in house. Definitely will return.

We had never had tapas before, but we were delighted with this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service excellent. A friendly restaurant and handy to be next to Waitrose so we could buy a bottle of wine, as they do not have a licence.

After rave reviews from friends at lunch we came for dinner and were completely bowled over. A fun and contemporary twist on traditional Spanish Tapas. Rich with flavour, garlic and spice this food will make your heart warm and keep your stomach light. To top it all the owner is lovely and the coffee is sourced from Monmouth Coffee, the instigators of London's artisan coffee movement. Come for tea and stay for dinner!

WE had a delightful family evening here, the good thing is the portions are small but priced accordingly so a couple could have plenty of choice. Service quite slow but this helped to prolong a good evening. The food is good and interesting. Surprised to see they are closing for two weeks so soon after opening. Sorry we did not see Jane on this evening perhaps she was already on holiday.

We have just had a really nice evening here at Cafe and. All the dishes we tried were scrummy from the grilled chicken, garlic prawns, garlic beans, belly of pork and so on. Every dish delicious in its own right. Jane is a wonderful hostess and just so passionate about her food. Altogether a great environment and a good place to eat. Thank you Jane

A great place to meet with friends and share great food in a relaxed environment. We had a super selection of tapas - anchovies, wings, calamari, and beans with chorizo followed by fresh paella. All very tasty. Would highly recommend

You'll not find a better breakfast/brunch in Eastbourne, really tasty and cooked from fresh. Highly recommended. Looking forward to trying the tapas soon. In my opinion, if there was some music in the background it would add to the experience. Also an earlier opening time could be a bonus.

Best Coffee I have had in ages. Was worth the wait. Mum had Victoria sponge with lavender and almond essence. Pop in after shopping at Waitrose.

Very impressed with the ambience and friendliness of this restaurant. The food was outstanding if a little bit slow to serve the eight of us. This was because there was only one waitress doing her best to serve a full restaurant. I see they are recruiting so this will solve the problem. Extra bonus is take your own wine which makes it a very inexpensive evening

We like the look of the restaurant, and the food was middling to good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The staff where fine, but the organization was poor. The cost of the tapas, given their size, was a little on the high side, but the dips where far too expensive. Left wanting more having had four tapas each. Liked the option to bring your own wine
