The Chippy

The chips were really good, for a medium size, I received a very generous portion , Great they have vegan sausage option, and I really enjoyed the combination, they were good too, good food, not oily or greasy, chips were really good! Very well cooked and nice and crispy, Really enjoyed my dinner! A bit expensive that you need to pay extra for the mayo or any sauce to go with your chips, but never mind, not a big deal. I was happy .

We have ordered the meal deal fish, chips and a drink for £10.00 which we thought what we paid and what we received it was a good price. The fries were freshly cooked and so the fish even it was on a small size.The reason for the 4 stars it was the wait which we have been waited for 35 minutes to collect our food from the time we have placed our order. If the shop is so busy and they know the weather it will be that good, then they should have had more staff on duty. If we see next time that they are understaffed then we will go somewhere else.

Not certain what people complain about really. Have seen a few complaining about small portions etc BUT that's not the case. We ordered Fish & Chips and Scampi & Chips and the portions were large, the F&C larger that uusual. Prices were okay given the prime location at the Pier. I actually opted for the Curry Sauce and Chili chips and they were outstanding and the Scampi tasted fresh and were nicely spiced. Big recommendation from us for sure and we will go again today.

What a treat! Vegan 'fish' and chips in Eastbourne! My wife and I loved the quality of the chips, all warm, fluffy and crispy. As for the vegan 'fish' this was the best we've tasted. I think it was battered banana blossom. The only slight issue was that the person taking the order was unsure about the BBQ jackfruit and forgot our vegan tartare sauce order. Annoyingly I didn't realise until I was back at the car. These was little things though and The Chippy is now the only place we will be going to for our 'fish' and chips, and we will certainly be returning again and again and again! Thank you The Chippy for embracing veganism.

I was lucky enough to find that place yesterday when everything else around was dead shut. And I can easily admit I found nothing cheap about this chippy (well except great value indeed!). Fish was super fresh and tasty, not oily at all and with some glorious aroma (coconut oil???). Chips were nice and crispy too and everything arrived sprinklered with aromatic parsley seasoning. All together one of the best fish&chips experience in my life, I kid you not! Even the box with a customised sticker on it was a nice change and added to the overall value. Keep it up good work boys, well done! Cant wait to pop in there with my friends next time I am in Eastbourne. Thanks!!!
