After trying many pubs around the local area and constantly being disappointed, We decided to come and try the carpenters arms from seeing it’s now under new management. I must say from being only open one week it is amazing!! The food is delicious and presented very well and the overall atmosphere great. The owners were always in the restaraunt talking to their customers at every single table making us and many others feel extremely welcome in their pub. The service was impeccable and there were no teething problems what so ever! The new owners have done an amazing job renovating the pub and I highly recommend coming for a meal or a drink here any time!! I was extremely impressed with everything here and cannot find a single fault with anything! Top marks to the new owners. Kent’s biggest hidden gem by far! If you’re looking for a good afternoon with good food then this is for you!

What an amazing place! Superbly decorated, wonderful atmosphere and exceptional welcome. The food was amazing, great range including vegetarian and vegan. Lovely garden. We went for our anniversary and had the most amazing time and were so glad we booked. Highly recommended and we will definitely be booking again. Thank you.

Our son and daughter-in-law's wedding was held here, the venue is beautiful, the staff were fantastic, the food was excellent, we had already had a lunchtime meal there as well which I have to say was just brilliant and we will be going back again

The food was great, staff friendly & attentive. The pub is situated in a nice rural location. Car park quite small, with street parking across the road. The only downside is that the venue is quite small inside with tables to either side of the bar. The locals clearly do not appreciate diners in their pub as they are quite raucous, a fair bit of ripe language with young ears around. The door is open & closing all the time which leaves a draft. Dogs come into the pub with owners which is fine but they were begging at the table which is irritating or people bending over bottoms in your face whilst eating. Wasn't sure if it was deliberate or just not bothered. Ruined the meal to be honest. Would go back for the food but would hesitate due to the above. Real shame.

Just had the BEST pub roast dinner ever! The food was cooked beautifully, beef not too pink but not dry either and a good sized portion. Plenty of veg too also cooked to perfection, no hard bits in the potatoes, carrots cooked in butter, tenderstem broccoli and a variety of other veg too. Staff were friendly, attentive when needed but not fussy. Also didn't see any cba expressions on any of them either which made a pleasant change from some other pubs!! Only complaint was the desserts were on plates with no curved edges which made it difficult to eat every last crumb of their Nanny's home made gypsy tart and ice cream!! Definitely going again. Definitely recommending to friends and family. Definitely trying some of the other homemade desserts too!

This is my kind of pub. Located in a beautiful part of the Kent countryside there are plenty of walks and areas to explore nearby. I personally cycled there and sat out in their courtyard which was surrounded by colourful hanging baskets. I was served straight away and it wasn't long before I was enjoying a nice cold pint of Spitfire Lager. The inside of the pub is very welcoming and traditional and the food was also very tasty and I didn't have to wait long. I also noticed that they have had a lot of varied music entertainment over the summer.
