The Rambler Inn

Obviously extremely busy because it was a sunny day so table space was at a premium and queues at the bar inevitable but this is a perfectly situated pub to start or end a walk with good food and good beer. They've got plenty of friendly competent staff serving, it's just a victim of its own success. Always our first and last pub on a visit to Edale

Prime location for hikers returning from the hill in need of some food and a pint the cruzcampo was nice I had chilli beef nachos for starters they were nice but tasted like bolognaise sauce on them would have liked some salsa sour cream and guacamole the chicken burger was nice the chips were great nice and crispy outside and fluffy on the inside but the burger wasn't great the Mrs didn't eat it so I gave it a try but didn't like it either tasted cheap and nasty. The staff and service was good in particular the 1st guy we spoke to made a few jokes and had us laughing which is always a good start! All in all its worth a visit after a long day!

Out of the 2 pubs in the village this has always been our favourite. Perfectly located for any stay in Edale, lovely choice of Ales and beers, standard pub grub at a reasonable price. Efficient and friendly staff. Feel like your in a different world when your in the beer garden on a warm summers evening, stunning scenery. Something to note, gets extremely busy around early evening for food, expect a sizeable wait if dining.
