Lovely setting for a stay over. A small group of us came up to walk the hills. Shared a twin room which was a bit small but perfectly functional, clean and well appointed. Bar and restaurant were great. Wide selection of food and beers. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Obviously extremely busy because it was a sunny day so table space was at a premium and queues at the bar inevitable but this is a perfectly situated pub to start or end a walk with good food and good beer. They've got plenty of friendly competent staff serving, it's just a victim of its own success. Always our first and last pub on a visit to Edale

Out of the 2 pubs in the village this has always been our favourite. Perfectly located for any stay in Edale, lovely choice of Ales and beers, standard pub grub at a reasonable price. Efficient and friendly staff. Feel like your in a different world when your in the beer garden on a warm summers evening, stunning scenery. Something to note, gets extremely busy around early evening for food, expect a sizeable wait if dining.

Stopped in here after a hard ramble up the kinder scout and back again. The pub is literally next to the train station and has plenty to offer in food and drink. It's well furnished and clean and has a large outdoor area to sit in the sun. The bar staff were pleasant, and the beer was good. What more do you want :) Check in after your hike or if you are in the area.

Super friendly staff, and a welcomed stop after a 20km walk in the heat. The tables in the patio are very shady and even better that they are a non smoking area. This pub has a very large beer garden and it’s not an expensive place. 2 ciders and 2 lime and soda’s were £12. Family and dog friendly inside and out. It’s also right opposite the village car park. Ideal. Worth a stop off and so much better then the pub in the main village as the beer garden and views are so much better.

This place is absolutely stunning! Rooms are lovely, staff are friendly and it couldn’t be more perfectly located for long (and short hikes) around the valley. Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the Peak District.

Really nice food, especially after visiting the peak District. Lovely pub, spacious, has great views, ideal for relaxing with a pint just before or after going on a hike

The Rambler is a good pub after you've been for a long hike. The food has always been good and hearty and there's a selection of beers to quench the thirst. Good looking Sunday roast lunches if you fancy one.
