The Rambler Inn - Edale - Photo album

Lovely setting for a stay over. A small group of us came up to walk the hills. Shared a twin room which was a bit small but perfectly functional, clean and well appointed. Bar and restaurant were great. Wide selection of food and beers. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Obviously extremely busy because it was a sunny day so table space was at a premium and queues at the bar inevitable but this is a perfectly situated pub to start or end a walk with good food and good beer. They've got plenty of friendly competent staff serving, it's just a victim of its own success
Out of the 2 pubs in the village this has always been our favourite. Perfectly located for any stay in Edale, lovely choice of Ales and beers, standard pub grub at a reasonable price. Efficient and friendly staff. Feel like your in a different world when your in the beer garden on a warm summers eve
Stopped in here after a hard ramble up the kinder scout and back again. The pub is literally next to the train station and has plenty to offer in food and drink. It's well furnished and clean and has a large outdoor area to sit in the sun. The bar staff were pleasant, and the beer was good. What mor
Super friendly staff, and a welcomed stop after a 20km walk in the heat. The tables in the patio are very shady and even better that they are a non smoking area. This pub has a very large beer garden and it’s not an expensive place. 2 ciders and 2 lime and soda’s were £12. Family and dog friendly in
Great pub at the start/finish of the hard route up Kinder Scout... perfect hiking stop with good food and selection of drinks... recommended
This place is absolutely stunning! Rooms are lovely, staff are friendly and it couldn’t be more perfectly located for long (and short hikes) around the valley. Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the Peak District.
Really nice food, especially after visiting the peak District. Lovely pub, spacious, has great views, ideal for relaxing with a pint just before or after going on a hike
Stopped for dinner after a long walk. Good vegan food. Good value. Dogs welcome. Good walker's pub.
The Rambler is a good pub after you've been for a long hike. The food has always been good and hearty and there's a selection of beers to quench the thirst. Good looking Sunday roast lunches if you fancy one.
Stayed here with my partner, it’s a beautiful pub where you can sit outside with a drink and enjoy the scenic views. The bed was so comfy, we slept amazing. Breakfast was also delicious!!! Perfect place to stay after a hike. The staff were all absolutely lovely and accommodating. Thank you very much
Visited whilst on a weekend camping trip with the kids. Was very busy, queuing outside the door to order food and drinks, but the staff managed as best they could and dealt with our orders quickly. Food was decent, and the beer garden was lovely in the sun.
Prime location for hikers returning from the hill in need of some food and a pint the cruzcampo was nice I had chilli beef nachos for starters they were nice but tasted like bolognaise sauce on them would have liked some salsa sour cream and guacamole the chicken burger was nice the chips were great
Seriously comfortable beds and bedding. Clean rooms. Lovely staff who were super kind. Delicious breakfast included. Thank you for a wonderful stay on our walk across the Peaks!
Don’t know what the rooms are like, not stayed there. Good selection of beers, excellent service from the staff. Great place for a pint and meal after a walk around Edale.
Lovely staff. Perfect location right next to Edale train station and at the base of the hills. Good quality food and drinks. Lots of room in the beer garden for when the weather is good or for big groups. I would definitely recommend implementing this pub into your walk!
