Just got back from a family meal here and can not recommend it highly enough! The food was amazing (I had the steak & ale pie and apple tart) the portions were generous and beautifully presented. A couple of our party had the sharing roast platter which looked amazing!!! The service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and we were looked after completely. We will be back!!!
Excellent food and staff well worth the drive from chorley will be back soon and would recommend The Coach great value for money and a good choice of Gins!!
Went for a lovely walk up the hill and parked car in pub car park, before coming back for a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend the pie, and fish and chips were lovely and freshly made. Service was also fantastic, and very welcoming to dogs, so perfect pub for a scheduled pitstop on a lovely weekend walk
Went here for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. Food was good but I prefer my vegetables to be really soft and they were still quite hard. But food enjoyable and service great. Food looks incredible on pics 😍
Really friendly and attentive service with a relaxed atmosphere. Bar person was knowledgeable and the menu has a great choice. Deffo a place we will come back to!
I wanted to show my Italian in-laws good British food as their perception of food from our country is generally not good. I was keen to prove them wrong and this was a fantastic venue to do just that.
The service was the first thing we noticed. In fact, our young waiter Ben blew us all away. We eat out a lot and I am struggling to remember a time when we had better service. I used to run a restaurant and so I am more than a little familiar with the steps of service and I have to say this kid did not miss a beat. Not too much and not too little. He even made us laugh. Top marks for him.
The food next. It was great. Really really very good and we ate absolutely everything. The place itself was in a lovely location and had a really nice ambience. It was clean and welcoming. Really cannot go overboard as to how good this place actually is; thanks to Brexit and the pandemic finding a place able to maintain such high standards is getting increasingly more difficult so kudos to the owners.
Booked really easily online and arrived a little early but that wasn’t a problem. From start to finish the service was fantastic. Met and directed to our table and offered drinks and a list of the specials. A great menu which mirrors the presentation of the food which is also 5 star. Even the background music was of a high quality!
We ordered party catering from The Coach and the service was incredible - Dan was an absolute delight to work with, he made sure he got my food to me right on time and was friendly and helpful at every step. The price was excellent too, after looking at lots of other caterers they covered exactly what I needed. We really enjoyed the food, especially the homemade brownie dessert and the chunky chips!

Great food which was reasonably priced. Very friendly, attentive staff - pub dog also very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again.
Nice atmosphere, nice decor, friendly welcoming staff. Food was decent, definitely worth the price, I got steak which was brilliantly cooked and my pal had a steak pie which looked amazing and he said it were so I'll be going back to try that.
Definitely worth a look in if you're after a nice pub grub meal.
I don't normally bother leaving reviews, but the food and service was so good, I had to leave one.
The pie is one of the best pies I've ever had in a pub. The meat content was perfect, served with veg and proper chips (I like cheesey gravy chips). The service was brilliant, friendly and the drinks were also quality.
I even told my friends back in Northampton about it and they want to come up.
