Great food here. The original Regency owners in the kitchen. Jeera chicken, tandoori wings, kebabs where stunning cooked beautifully and taste was balanced. Went to. 50th birthday that you can hire privately or dine in 6 days a week. Bookings are not required unless you have a lots of people attending.

I am a regular at Trilogy Edgware. Me and my sister threw a party for my dad 75th birthday and parents 50th anniversary. the staff were very hard working and the service was amazing. Live band was provided for entertainment and they were amazing too. I would recommend anyone who looking for a family party and place is Trilogy.

The food is nice. We enjoyed the fish tikka. And the chicken wings. It would be nice to see some soya vegan options. It's becoming a more popular requirement. Waiters were a little slow, not really attitive and it wasn't that busy.

We visited Trilogy with great anticipation having found out that the owner of this fairly new establishment was involved in the already well established and well reputed Regency and Purple Flame bars/restaurants.

We booked the day before and arrived on time to an already packed restaurant and thought this was a good sign and we were then shown to our table which was disappointingly crammed amongst other tables and clearly not equipped for the number of people in our party. This was a minor point as we thought, the food and the service was what we came for.

The atmosphere was great and the restaurant had a good family feel to it and we soon realised that a live singer was due to perform later. Not really my cup of tea as I go to restaurants to enjoy the company of the people I am with and find performers a little irritating but as long as it's not too loud I can live with it.

Our drinks order was taken promptly and at the same time we ordered some Poppadoms and Bombay Mix to nibble on with our first round of drinks. The drinks arrived at different times and we were served the Poppadoms with the drinks. We had ordered 2 Mango Lassis for our kids and had to return them as, in the words of the kids who can be relied upon for their honesty, "they were the worst Mango Lassis we've ever tasted!" We didn't want to chance them a second time round and replaced them with soft drinks.

We thought we would enjoy our first round of drinks with the nibbles we ordered before ordering our starters and soon realised our Bombay Mix still hadn't arrived. The owner walked past our table and we grabbed his attention to enquire where this was and his response was quite humorous. He advised us that he had none in and has been on the phone to his supplier in Leytonstone to try and get them over asap. Right. So why didn't anyone have he decency to tell us we wouldn't get this and seriously a Bombay Mix which is made up of crisps, peanuts, onions and chillies needs to come from Leytonstone?

Soon after we ordered our starters and more drinks as well as some children meals so that we could feed them and then enjoy our main courses in a little peace. Soon after the order started to arrive. There was a little problem with this, we didn't order half the stuff that started to be plonked on our table. We asked the waiter to take the food back and to call over the person who took our order as well as ask for what the bill looked like up until then.

To our astonishment the bill was ridiculous and on further examination it had items on it that we hadn't ordered and the drinks we had returned were still on it. We queried this and to be fair these were all removed with very little fuss, but we thought that we had better keep a close eye on our bill throughout the rest of the evening as we could start to lose track of what we ordered with such a large party. Not the way we like to dine.

The starters came, but unfortunately not at the same time and one of the dishes I ordered was the chicken wings for which Regency are well known for. I know this wasn't Regency but as the owner was involved with Regency I was hoping for something similar. What arrived were chicken wings that literally had been deep fried with a dab of spicy sauce on them. I sent them back and asked for more sauce on them and was left disappointed that the wings hadn't even been marinated before being fried. The other starters were OK, but nothing to write home about.

At this point you might be asking why didn't we just call it a day and move on, well with a large party that's not so easy.

Anyway we went on to order our main courses and more drinks throughout the evening and the service was really poor. We had to keep chasing up our drinks and sometimes they just didn't come.

One dish we did order as people we know had recommended it was the Stuffed Karela Curry. I have to say I was not disappointed with this and this lived up to its expectation, however, the rest of the food was at best ok. We had to send the Dal Makhni back twice. Once because it came in what looked like a half portion and secondly because it was so watery it lacked taste.

I could go on, but in summary the service was poor and we had to keep checking our bill throughout the evening and even then, there were still mistakes. The food overall was at best OK. The atmosphere was great but a little cramped and the entertainment was well....annoying for me. An entertainer who keeps trying to showcase his ability to impersonate birds tweeting whilst singing a song doesn't do it for me as well as walking up to tables and putting the mic under someone's nose to sing a few lines....nope not for me.

Some work to do and maybe the entertainment for most diners is a distraction as to what the food and service is really like. We won't be coming here again any time soon unless people we know can convince us it has changed for the better.
