Honestly one of the best Italians I have gone to in a while. The "fettuccini al salmone" was very well executed - the pasta was fresh and the saúde delicious. The service is excellent and very homely. Very highly recommended!
Fabulous family run restaurant with proper Italian grub. The restaurant is always busy - a firm favourite with the locals. The scallop and black pudding starter is delicious and served with pesto. Specials board always has some excellent options on there to choose from if the wide variety of pizza, pasta or fish doesn't float yer boat. Love love love.
If anyone asks me my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, I don’t need to think twice about it. Nonna’s Kitchen in Morningside stands out by a country mile – not only for the food, but the wonderful atmosphere and staff. We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance, being too early to go to the Churchill Theatre for a show. My Mum had reservations – would they have gluten-free options, would it be good – but she came not only as a massive advocate, but on first name terms with all the staff.
Lovely fresh food and as always fantastic service. Love the specials menu. Portions are very generous which sadly means when it come to dessert we never have room. Best Itallian restaurant we have visited in Edinburgh. Love Nonnas.
Great Restaurant - great food and service. Had the scallops with Black pudding and pesto which was perfectly executed and then the Ravioli stuffed with Pumpkin in blue cheese and nuts! Divine. Real deal authentic Italian food!

This is the Italian restaurant which you would be mad to miss when dining out in Edinburgh. It is wonderfully welcoming, as comfortable as eating in a friend's house, but where the food and wine is of excellent quality.
Smoked haddock fishcakes light enough to melt in the mouth and spaghetti so good you will remember the taste for days to come.
The staff here are old hands at the food business, but their enthusiasm and enjoyment of it only make you want to go back again - and soon.

Good food, great service. Listening to Carmela rattle off the many specials and explain dishes was like hearing a classic story being read by stephen fry - eloquent and full of meaning - she obviously cares about this place and her customers. They catered well for Allergies, and double checked everything with the chef. Great place to eat out.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. The food was fresh and very tasty and the staff were friendly and accommodating, we were in a bit of a hurry and they moved up our mains to help us out. The arancini balls were the best I've ever had and my pasta dish was excellent, although I'm not sure that venison was the best meat to go with the sauce being fairly gamey and strong tasted. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was superb, sweet with just a hint of acid. Really good. Although a little pricey for lunch the specials were top notch and the choice was almost overwhelming in variety. Absolutely deserving of five stars.
I really enjoyed my meal at this Italian restaurant. For Starters: I had the Scallops with Stornaway Black Pudding. It was perfectly cooked and presentable. Thumbs up to the Chef!!! Staff where very nice too. A very homely and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely go back and recommend highly.
I took my Mum out for lunch on Sunday 28.09.19. We chose to visit Nonna’s Kitchen for the first time.
I can honestly say that our meal was wonderful, all home cooked, generous portions, and totally unrushed .
The staff checked continually to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and that they could not do anything more to improve it.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was one of friendliness and relaxation, just what you want on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
I can’t praise this restaurant enough. We are from a Italian family, who are very fussy when eating Italian food anywhere, but home, but this was a close second to my mother’s cooking, and I do not say this lightly.
To finish our very pleasant experience in this restaurant, we were given a complimentary ‘Amaretto’ liquor to finish. We will certainly return to this restaurant soon.
It is very rare to find such place in today's world. Perfect homely ambiance, lovely fresh food and home made taste. The staff is very polite and offered exceptional service. The menu was discussed in detail and options were given for tailor made alterations . I can't praise this place more.

I had the scallops to start, they were quite small however cooked well. The main was gnocchi which I enjoyed. The price of the food is quite high. The toilets were cramped and cold. Restaurant was clean and staff very very friendly. Will come back
I can’t believe how beautiful was the atmosphere! How friendly were the staff! And how family oriented this place is!! I’m still amazed by their hospitality! And the food is on another level, absolutely delicious!!!!!
