L'escargot Bleu Restaurant - Edinburgh - Photo album

Oddly enough I find myself in stunning French restaurants in the UK more often than I’d expect, and this was no exception. Our servers were warm and accommodating (critical given the bone chilling cold that day before dinner) and the food was uniformly excellent. The deconstructed fish soup was a
We had dinner few days ago and the food were really delicious, service very attentive. Beef Bourguignon best in my life . My partner had lamb casserole and delicious as well . Worth to try tartar which is making on the table with great quality of beef. On of the best meal in Edinburgh. First visit
We had a great experience. The staff is wonderful.. friendly and helpful with suggestions. Everything was great!... tartar, escargot, Cote de beuf, cod, and the lamb are all recommended! Nemesis and the creme brulee for dessert were great choices for the finish!
This restaurant has an authentic feel; in food, wine, alcohol and staff. This is not our first time, and we ate well on both occasions. The specials are often really good. Good food and wine don't come cheap but the occasional treat is worth while.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The food and ambiance was great! First time to try snail and the Iles Flottante is a personal fave!
We have been twice here, once for lunch and the other time for dinner, and the food has been incredible on both visits. The portion sizes are very generous and the constantly alternating dishes are delicious. The staff also make the experience extra memorable and are happy to accommodate for specia
Quaint cozy French bistro in NewTown area of Edinburgh. Brilliant French take using the fresh Scottish produce from the area. The bistro is well managed by French couple with the husband as chef and wife running the front. I have never seen such a “chill” and relaxed kitchen brigade of 2. The menu
Amazing experience. I recently had the best meal I've had for a long time, at L'Escargot Bleu. The place captures true French charm along with warm Edinburgh hospitality. The food was absolutely fantastic & the service was first class. Fred & Betty have created something magical here, fine dining wi
Absolutely fantastic restaurant and wine bar. The staff are all friendly and good fun, the food is consistently excellent and the selection of wine is fantastic. They also have steak tartare that is prepared table-side. There is a nice choice of bar appropriate snacks and I have never had a bad time
Cozy little place with a wonderful blend of french food made with fresh Scottish ingredients. Expensive but wonderful food and service.
Fabulous dining experience. From the food to the ambience I felt that I was actually in a little bistro in Paris for a few hours. Wonderful, wonderful lunch there. Will be back for dinner for sure. Go try for yourself. You will not be disappointed
Service was attentive. I love the causal French decor that we can feel relax in it. Food and wine were both fantastic. Just wish I have longer time in the booking to enjoy the meal. Will be back again soon 👍🏻
One of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh recently opened a wine bar in the basement. It serves up an excellent range of organic and biodynamic wines in a warm setting. The sharing platter served cheeses in excellent condition with good quality salamis and meats. Staff were very well trained and
I hadn't visited L'Escargot Bleu for years. It was a big favourite of ours. Delighted to find it as fabulous as ever! I had steak tatare to start which was perfect and tailored to each person. Mains and pud were heaven. There's only an action shot of desert because it was gone so quickly! Staff were
Overall a good dining experience. They served both classic French dishes and some special items with thoughtful mix of ingredients - like the main I had which is a goose one. Very friendly service, a cozy environment with great wine, and we loved the rich and creamy creme brulee, which were burnt in
We had a lovely dinner on Saturday evening. I love this restaurant! Authentic French food, very tasty and well plated. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend!
Lovely hearty meal. Some dishes are fancier and more delicate than others. An overall enjoyable experience.
By the far the best restaurant in Edinburgh. Staff were beyond superb; funny, engaging, and kind, they created a really friendly and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy dinner in. The food was some of the best french cuisine I've had, if we had gone hear first we would have come back for the entire stay to
Excellent meal - from starters to dessert. Well balanced. Wonderful service. La cuisine française at its best.
