Great staff, great vibe, delicious food, a proper Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. Tempo Perso is a must go if you live in Edinburgh. We felt like we were in Italy and David gave us the best service we could ask for. He was great.
Trovato un buon ristorante dietro casa. Finalmente posso bere un buon caffè Kimbo. Ho provato le tagliatelle e i trancetti di polli erano ottimi. Servizio buono e ambiente tranquillo. Ottimi prezzi a pranzo e sconto studenti.
Finaly good coffee in town and good prices for lunch menu. I am happy I found this place.
This place! Absolute gem of a find. Authentic Italian food with great antipasti. Impromptu visit after a couple of drinks. Found ourselves staying for three courses as the menu looked so good. Very chilled out, nice atmosphere and when we sat to read the menu we were offered glasses of sparkling pink wine to try (love, love, love) obviously being a sucker to these sales pushes I had to have the bottle, which was super tasty! Also when you receive the bill it comes in a very appropriate envelope. See pic . Will definitely be back for an after work apertivo.
This was a nice comfortable and functional place with pretty authentic Italian food. The meat and fish were delicious, the fried sea food starter was particularly good. The portions are quite large so you better be pretty hungry. The wine selection was quite comprehensive, and the staff are happy to make suggestions if you're not sure of what your looking for. There's also a chalk board with the days specials.
The service was a little slow but was very friendly, I guess this only added to the authentic Italian experience.
Would definately go again with very little prompting.
If you are craving real italian food, then Osteria del Tempo Perso is the place to go. Lovely pasta, fish and meat dishes (and no pizza here) that will make you feel like you are in the middle of a little village in Tuscany. We had the bruschetta for starters and then I had an amazing dish of pasta. Staff were super friendly and the decoration is superb.
Just incredible, best Italian food in town!
I used to live just like opposite the road and came here on a regular basis.
Now I was back in town and what can I say, it's still amazing. The food just perfect, service super nice and friendly and the atmosphere cosy.
Just make sure you book your table in advance as it's usually very busy.
My favourite: Scallopina Milanese. 👌
The pasta mains were great! Had pasta ragu nduja and pasta limone gamberi, you can see in the pictures. Great service and relaxed ambience!
Very tasty authentic true Italian dishes on the menu. Serving staff very aware and present with fast and attentive service. The only spoiler for myself was the echoing inside the restaurant as we happened to choose a table beside a group of young ladies who were having a very good loud time with disregard for others preferring quieter meal.
This Italian restaurant is a true delight! From the warm welcome to the delicious Ravioli alla Carbonara, every moment was exceptional. Attentive staff, a great wine list, and heavenly Tiramisu sealed the deal. Can't wait to return! Strongly recommend!
It was a Sunday afternoon. The pasta dish was outstanding I orderd a n'duja pasta with fresh pasta add on. Texture was perfect, al dente for sure, not raw in the middle, but chewy and firm, i am impressed, flavor was great. My friend orded a pizza which topped with potato, fresh rosemary, sausage meat, and cheese. The combination was as wonderful as the pizza dough. Ordered 2 dessert (millefoglie and affogato) with coffee, all were perfect. Personally love italian dark roast coffee, yum. Service was standard, spent £51, over all very good.
This was simply sensational and in reality around £40-45 per person based on six people. So much food for this price and the quality was fantastic.
Starters and sides and main courses! Pale rose wine which was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
Pasta at its finest!
Takes American Express.
My friend and I had an incredible dinner here during our trip to Rome. Lovely atmosphere, great Prosecco, absolutely amazing food. Our waiter mirko was so funny and made us so comfortable. Thank you so much!!
My partner and I had a date night here and it was so lovely. Staff were attentive and the menu had lots of choice. I ended up with a prawn lemon spaghetti dish and he had a pizza. I had both a white wine and a dessert one and they were both lovely! Great atmosphere, would recommend.
Delicious food and wonderful, friendly service. Will definitely return.
My favourite place in Bruntsfield. Whether it’s a quick bite or a celebration meal, the food is consistently good, the wine list excellent and most importantly, I’m always made to feel so special by the wonderful team. Highly recommended!!
