We visited on a Tuesday during quiet hours. The service was good, the fish and chips were quite adequate in portion, but the fish had absorbed too much oil, the same was true for the onion rings. The fries were homemade but tasteless. The tartar sauce was great, on the contrary. The garlic bread was also quite tasty and a good portion.
I've been many times to the Orchard and it is always great. The food is tasty and the menu changes from time to time. The atmosphere is also great although it can be difficult to get a table if you don't book.
A proper place to get some good food with outstanding service.
Place is more for locals and that explains, in my opinion, the great service.

This is a fab pub. We had the steak pie and it did not disappoint. The haggis fritters starter were excellent too. Great relaxed atmosphere and friendly but unobtrusive staff. Would highly recommmed for excellent pub grub and delicious steak pie.
Excellent pub and stunning food!!! My husband loved the black pudding on a salad.
I loved the soup so much. We will def come here again when we come back.
