My favourite local pub when I lived nearby. Consistently tasty food, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere all round - whether that was for the pub quiz, when we were in at the weekend to watch football or rugby, or random quieter weekday evenings when we fancied a pint. Nice as well that there is live music on Fridays. A really great traditional pub.

It’s a bit of a hidden gem of a classic Edinburgh pub which very few rarely exists anymore in the (Stockbridge area anyway) . The building has lots of character and colourful regulars it seems. Holds a very Scottish ambience even when filled with various persons from across the globe. If you fancy a true Edinburgh pub with good wholesome food and friendly staff then you should visit when in the area. Its ambience varies on which day and the time you go. But if looking for a quiet pint to oneself or meeting with friends it offers both. If you love rugby great place to watch the match but you’ll be standing if late .

I had an amazing time at this bar, thanks to Angus, our fantastic waiter. His humor and informative insights made the experience truly memorable. We couldn't stop laughing throughout the evening, and his kindness added a special touch. The restaurant's Scottish atmosphere further enhanced the ambiance, creating a delightful and unique dining experience. Angus definitely made our visit exceptional! Thank you, Angus!

Cool local bar with some amazing food and vibes. The bar is full of locals and the beer and whiskey are great. We had an amazing Scottish meal and will recommend this place to anyone looking for the local experience.

Another super special bar for locals, I'd say... off the beaten path, perhaps? My local friends brought me here for one or two, on a pub crawl. My gosh! It was my dream bar. (The Regal Beagle wishes) The real deal indeed. Great Scotch whiskeys!

Had a nice vegetable haggis but it was served with chips instead of mashed potato ! Not really Scottish !! Tried their IPA (Indian Pale Ale) which was quite nice. We were part of a group tour and the staff looked after us all very nicely. Lovely comfortable seats and clean toilets.

Lovely traditional pub with a good selection of drinks. The food was really tasty; I wish we could've stayed for another course. Service at the Bailie Bar is outstanding - from the moment we walked through the door the staff were exceptional... also dog friendly to quiet dogs. I'd highly recommend a visit here.

Proper boozer this one. Brilliant pub atmosphere you don't find many places these days. Screens showing sport all around the bar. Staff beavering around the central bar area were very efficient and friendly. Nice to see so many punters interact with each other even if they didn't know one another - that's what the pub is all about. Decent range of beers and a good whisky selection. Dog friendly too.
