We hadn’t been here before but needed something to eat in a hurry before a show at the Festival Theatre. We didn’t even know this place existed! There was a spare table and we ordered our food at the bar. Some mixed skewers and a bottle of Merlot. The barman was clearly very busy and working alone, but he still managed to be helpful and attentive. Thank you Mert, you looked after us perfectly! Next time we’ll book to be sure of a space. The food was very tasty and full of flavour. I’d like to try some other things on the menu now.

A really nice vibe, the food's great as well. Plus the owner is a great funny guy. It's a lovely place to spend an evening - watched the Euros as well here!

Lovely restaurant that is family owned. We had delicious dinner (everything I tried was wonderful so I don’t think you can go wrong when ordering)! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh!!

The Wild Yarrow is great restaurant with great food and good beers on tap. We had reserved tables in another restaurant, but this was closed. So we rushed in next doors at The Wild Yarrow with a group of 20+ persons where the owner was all alone. I no time at all he served us drinks, gave us 5 different dishes to choose from and served it to our table. And it all tasted great. So thank you for a great lunch and I will go back there for sure when I am in Edinburgh the next time.

Im from Edinburgh so never been to tbis place as its always looked touristy! Went last night, during covid. Food was amazing, like really really fresh and tasty. Staff were supet helpful. Genuine good find! Definately be back

Exceptionally well prepared food, my husband had the lamb kebob, I had the sea bass and we had a fantastic sampler platter. But the best part was our waiter's knowledge of gin and pink pepper Corn tonic!! Would definitely recommend you eating here

Really enjoyed our lunch here. In particular the guy meeting you, serving drinks & the meals was exceptionally nice. Food was good, atmosphere pleasant, made to feel welcome. Would definitely go back

If you have not heard of this super & friendly bar & bistro, you must visit it soon. My husband & I have been a couple of times for drinks but last night we ate there and I have to say that the food was top class and delicious. Mert the owner, who serves the drinks, is very very friendly and makes everyone very welcome.. We will definitely be back in the near future for another dose of great hospitality.

Popped in for a quick drink. One of the people in our group doesn't drink alcohol so they mixed up a mocktail for her. That wasn't on the menu so was a really nice touch. The cocktail of the week was an espresso Martini so it would have been rude not to try one, and I'm very glad I did, as it was excellent!
