The fish and chips were perfect, as were the haggis fritters. Friendliest owners with great chat, and special shout out to their daughter Maria! Will be coming back as soon as I can!
Epic portions of tasty food from genuinely lovely people! The owners were so friendly and personable. We had a lovely chat while they cooked up fresh food. Would highly recommend this place.
Very nice service and huge portion! Great and fresh fish. Nice girl advice me to take curry sauce separately - good, because I could eat only half portion and the rest I eat later. Only take away, but really close to sea, so you can eat on the beach. I highly recommend!
Lovely old fashioned place run by an older Italian couple. The fish is cooked fresh to order and was delicious.
My first chippy shop in life, overall a great experience. Food was quite good, fish freshly fried and rather on the bigger side, but vinegar is a must! Chips with curry sauce were my mistake, sauce itself was really great, but it ruined the crispiness of traditional large cut chips. Haggis fritter was bloody delicious, a bit spicier than I expected but that's just the better! Atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, lady behind the counter really friendly. Overall great experience and alright prices. Would recommend
This is the best fish and chip shop in Edinburgh.
The fish is always, always ,always cooked fresh.
The owners are amazing, super friendly. The service is superb.
Phone up, order and it will be waiting for you.
Amazing fish and chips! The sweetest couple run this place. Fish is cooked fresh to order and was truly delicious. Flakey and perfect. Great chips too. Lovely lovely people who deserve local support! The shop is like it’s out of the 80s and my partner and I loved grabbing the fish suppers and eating on the beach.
The is the first place my friends hit when in Edinburgh.
The food is super fresh and not full of oil.
I drive across Edinburgh to get here because its fantastic
The owners and their daughter are awesome
My fish and chips tonight were delicious 😋
During our stay in Edinburgh, we went twice to this nice takeaway restaurant. On the first evening we ordered fish ' chips and ate it on the beach. On the last day, we ended up here because we made reservations at the Espy but due to kitchen failure, we couldn't eat food there. The owner is really nice and talked to us and our little boy, even gave him some candy. Ordered funghi pizza and my husband a cheeseburger with fries. We both enjoyed our food!! Would highly recommend this place, very nice staff and good food for a good price.
Delicious food, the best fish and chips I've ever had in the UK
Great fish&chips, had to be tasty coming out of so friendly kitchen! Family atmosphere from the owner and his daughter made it a great experience and the fish was spot on. Highly recommend for grabbing (quite large) portion for lunch and strolling down to the promenade.
Freebie haggis from the owner was also a great touch. And it was delicious!
Best wishes from PL - choose Gdansk for the next visit 😉
