The City Cafe - Edinburgh - Photo album

Food was ok service was good since the waitress was by her self on the floor. She took all the orders and made the drinks her self. Well done to her. I guess mostly tourists come here for breakfast.
The portions are quite mega which is great if you’re heading there after a healthy gym session! The food lacks a bit of finesse but priced ok and I really appreciate how open they were to substitutions on the Scottish breakfast. Rolls were so huge you could use them as a pillow. Brilliant decor and
Went for a breakfast on a Friday, I have only been for drinks in the evening so didn't know what to expect. First of all they offer a gluten free full breakfast (not for me) which was a big plus. It wasn't very busy, clean and has the diner vibe you'd expect. Service was fast, didn't want too lon
I had an amazing experience at The City Cafe in Edinburgh. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal in Edinburgh! Note: There is a
Relaxed, clean , cool Nice retro vibe, only thing missing was authentic music ❗ Plenty booths, seating, nice old pics n pin ups Food very nice Staff were efficient and helpful I shall return here, it has been a long absence for me Special mention to choc milk shake 😋❗
Great diner serving good food. Service was great as well. We enjoyed the Veggie Full Scottish Breakfast including the Veggie Haggis 😋 Nicely located at Hunter Square just at a stone's throw from Royal Mile.
We had amazing milkshakes, the staff was great, music could've a been a wee bit quieter. Overall great experience, would recommend!
We did go here for some Breakfast and after that we came back for lunch. Both of the times it was a very good experience, the staff is very friendly and the quality of food is Good! Portions are big, so take in mind that if you just want a snack take a look at the small snack part at the menu.
Slow service but friendly. Amazing Full Scottish breakfast.
The vegetarian full breakfast was interesting though the veggie sausage was tasting like onion rings in a different shape. The Scottish full breakfast was nice. The juice is not fresh. The service is nice. Overall the price is worth the experience.
Wonderful place and very good staff! Best place in Edinburgh to have breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful! We had full veggie English breakfast, coke float which was very good would recommend to try something different! Than we had French toast which was too good! All in all would recommend
First time of visiting, lovely place, food and service were great, reminds me of an American diner, pay this bar a visit if your in edinburgh
Had a traditional Scottish breakfast and my wife had scrambled eggs and toast. Great “black pud” and haggis. Looking forward to my next visit for porridge. Atmosphere had USA feel. Dining room is spacious with lots to look at. Great play list of music playing. Service was friendly but a little sp
City Cafe is our go to place in Edinburgh. The food is great and fairly quick, last time we went was a quick stop in between trains, it's nice and close to the train station and service was quick for us to order, eat, pay, and get back to the train station.
Love this place, delicious food, great music, nice cocktails, and lovely staff. It can be a very busy place but I don’t mind a loud buzzing environment, sometimes it does make it a little difficult to catch a server but apart from that. LOVE LOVE LOVE (Also good for gluten free/celiac)
Do you want to join the king for breakfast? Well when you walk into The City Cafe you're greeted by a life size statue of him, which leads into a glitz of Americana. Posters and neon signs adorn the walls an a large dineresque bar runs along one side. Lots of booths dotted around as well. I went f
