Was in Edinburgh for 3 nights and this was by far my favourite meal. My friend and I had dinner and it was an amazing experience. I have allergies and they took that very seriously, doing a clean in the kitchen before preparing my food. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing! Thank you!!

Doyle has history and charm. Stepping into the pub is stepping back in time. The service is a bit too casual if your time is pressed. If not, the beer and Scotch offerings are good, the pies excellent and the sticky toffee top shelf. It does get crowded and the dining area is small.

Excellent place for a tourist to eat a dinner. Fish & chips, steak pies and other dishes are great. It was so good we ate here two days in a row.

Very old 18th centurian pub that gives the perfect Conan Doyle vibe (as the name suggests).
Really well maintained. Great Scottish food. Not very pocket friendly 🙃. Great service ✨. Very friendly staff. A little waiting time doesn't cause much harm. 😋
I went there on a Sunday afternoon, but no reservation needed.
P.S. As a non drinker, I think I will recommend this restaurant anyway just for the vibe, and authentic scottish food. May not be your regular go to place for meal but occasional rich scott food date will not make your pockets cry (hopefully 😅).

Though we were in the City from the boonies the costs of alcoholic drinks came as a nasty surprise 😳. The food, however, was fairly priced, well presented and plentiful. Service was friendly and professional. The ambience is very nice and does sort of reflect a Victorian atmosphere.

Great pub with a good range and quality of food and beverages. It's situated close to the new tram line, bus stops, the main theatres and retail centre.
It has a cozy vibe at night and plenty of sports on the tv (if that's your jam).
Food wise you can pick a tasty pie or burger, or perhaps some salmon or other dishes (the fish is popular so if you're arriving after 7pm you may be disappointed).
Wise range of local and imported beers, wines and spirits, and naturally there's a few cocktails and tasty deserts on offer.
