I had to write something seeing the last review, and totally disagree.
We found the staff very friendly and the service was spot on.
The staff were happy and polite, and we felt very welcome.
There is a good buzz about the place and it was busy every night we were there (Tuesday to Thursday) with locals and people staying at the Hotel.

Recently went here throughout January close to New Year to catch up with my boyfriends family. After only booking on the day it was fantastic that they were able to accommodate us. We had a great table with plenty of space - I hate it when tables are too crammed together.
Although we only went for lunch, the food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. I had fish, chips and mushy peas, I cannot fault the food at all. My fish was gigantic and took quite a while to finally finish it after I was so determined to do so.
I would definitely recommend here in a heartbeat and cannot wait to go back.
