Il Castello Restaurant

We received a very warm welcome when we came into the door. It wasn't too busy, so the atmosphere was very comfortable. The food was amazing - There is a nice variety of dishes, which are worth every penny. They were delicious. The dessert was the best part. It both looked and tasted great. The servers were incredibly nice and helpful. They helped us when we had questions, which as tourists; we did. The only small negative thing was that not everything that was listed on the dessert card was available. However, the special that we managed to get - homemade tiramisu and a cheesecake with strawberries - Were delicious. We would definitely go here again!

Nice Italian restaurant. The plates are good, well served and give a good price quality ratio, it doesn’t need to be snobby or pretentious because the value is truly delivered in its food. The Italian owner is very friendly and gives a good service. A good recommendation for finishing the day after visiting Edinburgh castle.

We had a wonderful family lunch there during our Edinburgh visit. The manager and the staff were very friendly, the service we experienced was great! The “ sweet of the day” of the lunch set was beautifully displayed and also delicious, overall the price is pretty reasonable with good quality of food and services.
