Os pubs são espetaculares e a comida é reconfortante.

Typical Scottish Pub/Resto with excellent service and great food. WoW for the Sticky Toffee cake / Treacle Pudding. A place I would strongly recommend.

The Malt Shovel is one if several pubs in Cockburn Street. It features traditional, dark decor and has a few tables outside. They are on a slope so make sure you don't lean too far back after you've had a few beers. 😅 Good selection of beers and spirits. Service is friendly and efficient.

if i didnt have a family, work, bills to pay and enemies to slay id sit in brown pubs like this all my days and crack jokes with the bar staff while chugging ales and bitters and leering at the whiskys i know nothing about and dont order because im afraid to look dumb. didnt try the food but it looked nice and the menu suggested confidence and experience and i love not having too many options. steak pie, fish & chips etc is the deal. im sure edinburgh have a million wonderful brown bars like this but for some reason i went here twice - and thats how you know its nice.

Loved it. Stunning 'Level Head' ale beer. Service was great, and my 11yo daughter apparently loved their Mac&Cheese enough to want to move to Edinburgh!!!

We went in for lunch, very friendly and helpful staff when asking about details (allergies). Fish & chips were definitely up to standards with a nice tartare sauce, the portion of the mac & cheese was quite small but good. Cosy atmosphere!

The food was very good and the price ok. Very friendly staff, but a star less because you have to order at the bar. We were on our way back from our trip to Edinburgh castle and we very much enjoyed the food and drinks here. Recommend!

For us one of the best Pubs in Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍻. We love this atmosphere. It's so cozy. Good drinks, the staff is friendly and the food is great 🍔🍟. We always come back when we're in Edinburgh 🤩.

Fish and chips were great. Husband said steak and ale pie was the best out of the 4 places he tried it. They were very crowded both times we went. Hard to find seats together.
