Stayed in the hotel attached to this Toby and ate in the restaurant. Tempted by the look of the carvery and we were not disappointed! Beef succulent, Turkey was scrumptious! Roast potatoes were to die for and the Yorkshires were massive! Breakfast was also amazing! Especially likes the breakfast Haggis!
Go for breakfast on a Wednesday, this was my first time at this branch as my local one was closed due to electrical problem. Very nice set up, better than Morton hall with better quality of food. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I’d choose this one over my local one but it’s a little bit out the way.
Popped in for Sunday lunch after visiting zoo, otherwise too far out of city. Basic carvery. Good service but had to ask if any more beef as limited choice at 3pm. Not sure if they would have bought anymore out if we hadn't of asked. Very small portions of meat, the rest was made up of various forms of potato.
