Absolutely superb good old fashioned bar. We went in circa 3.45pm and it was wonderful to see it just get busier and quietly busier with all sorts and ages of customers. No televisions. Just people talking. Drink prices were reasonable too.

Quaint neighborhood pub where there are locals conversing while enjoying the food and drink. Multiple small rooms for cozy dining surrounded by the pub atmosphere in the background. Meal options are classic well prepared comfort food.

Lovely staff and a good collection of beers.
Update - after coming here last few days, I have come to realise the staff are realty patient to help out an amateur who is testing out Beers and whisky.

Great local pub. Friendly staff, variety of beers and good food. Definitely a place to try if you want a local experience and minimal or no tourists. Perfect backroom for a larger group.

Very cool place. Nice food . Staff Fantastic, with a capital F. Good sense of humour. Would recommend this hidden gem. Wasn't in the garden, but it looked great.

Good food, great staff and amazing location. This local bar right in the heart of the new town is a must. Great beer and cozy traditional interior with a lovely outdoor beer garden

Great food and beer selections at this pub! We came here on a weekday evening and it was pretty packed. Luckily the waiters were able to find us a table tucked away in a smaller room. Fun social vibe for both small and large groups. We ordered the 3 appetizer special...get the scotch egg before it runs out for the night!
