AMAZING atmosphere. We’ve been here twice on our vacation since the first time was very good. The gluten free options on the menu are fantastic and the seating area upstairs is very beautiful. We enjoyed being here so I highly recommend the place. The quality of the food is very good and the pricing is appropriate to the quality (also considering the location which is downtown).
I stumbled across this funky place as they opened early in the morning. And even with not many customers at that time to add to the atmosphere, it had so much character. I was greeted with a genuine smile as soon as I walked in :) the service was so lovely and efficient. I only had a coffee, so I can't speak for the food, but I would love to go back to try some of their menu; it looked delicious.
Very beautiful bar and restaurant. There are many quirky lounge areas which are nice from drinking and chatting, with unusual décor making it very Instagram-able.
The cocktails are lovely and they have a great selection to try 🍸🍹 there is a large area outside for drinking and eating I'm the sun, unfortunately it is also the smoking area.

I came here for breakfast with my friends as they wanted to try the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle. I did know that they have vegetarian options from the menu we saw the day before, but wasn’t sure if they had anything vegan.
It turns out that they did not have any specifically vegan items on the menu. However, the waitress and kitchen was very accommodating and made modifications to the full veggie breakfast for me. It was your typical full breakfast made vegan that was simple and cooked well with fresh produce. I really appreciate how helpful and accommodating the staff were, especially in answering my questions in assuring me it was vegan. Really made me feel at ease. My friends enjoyed their Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle too which was a good portion too. We all loved the juice and smoothies we ordered as well!
We also had a look at their cocktail menu which intrigued us. Excellent customer service, good vibes with the bright and fun décor that is still classy, good food at reasonable prices, I do see myself coming back here for dinner/to try their cocktails if I find myself in Edinburgh again.
Popped in for Sunday lunch, I've always loved the chain in London but didn't know there was one in Edinburgh. I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and really quick. The staff are AMAZING!! Really friendly, really helpful. Loved it!! AND it's all wheelchair accessible!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This is my second time at the restaurant, clearly I’m loving it , great vibes, beautiful cozy decor it’s kinda in between rustic and modern , great staff and service but the restaurant is very busy with people so you might wait for a bit for the next available waitress, but overall great experience.
Visited during covid too and it was well set up and organized. Was a tad bit strange that they weren't talking temperatures at the entrance though. Food was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the same category. I'd definitely return. Nicely decorated too, great for pics.
We were there with the whole family. Very nice and professional service and atmosphere. Food very good and a menu for every palate. It is worth visiting this place.
The Refinery in St Andrews Square in New Town in Edinburgh is quite a plush , glamorous bar cum restaurant spread over 2 floors with large elegant windows and a chic mostly younger clientèle. It has different styled tables but mostly Germanic bier Keller types, with low lighting and a modern bar , with Cocktails being their main order. The service was good as you would expect in such a place.
Great choice of menu, good options for all diets and desires. Cracking beefburger, great salads, good fish tacos, ate here twice on our 5 day stint in Edinburgh.
Pilsner Urquell on draught a real treat, plus great local Scottish ales, a particularly good Barneys Birthday Pale Ale.
Good service, light airy comfortable bar/restaurant.
