Great Scots breakfast, generous portions with decent prices.
Staff were all friendly and accommodating, ambience of the place was cosy, warm and the music choice was very tasteful.
This little gem is tucked away down an alley which gives it a rustic charm, but well worth the search.
For those with children this would also be a great spot to rest as they have free wifi and a big children's play area.
Would definitely come back whenever we are in Edinburgh .
I practically live here when I'm holidaying in Edinburgh.
The food is fantastic and the staff are always great.
It's on the old town high street but tucked away so it's not packed all the time.
The scones are fantastic. Good coffee/tea. I hear the manager, Mike, is pretty cool. (He is). Super chill environment. Great for small groups and solo work. It's downstairs from the entry level so don't miss it!
Delicious pancakes. Speedy friendly service. They let me sample the curry as well. It was wonderful! Cozy atmosphere, with special, fun, seating for families with children. Definitely worth going down Chamber's Close off High Street. Very walkable.
A hidden little gem just off the Royal Mile , simple food done well, lovely breakfast, so very reasonable, really pleasant staff, comfortable surrounding, deserve to be supported
Great place with a super friendly staff; one of the only places on the Royal Mile we had to visit more than once. Beautiful and tasty scones and fresh breakfast items, a tasty cup of coffee and nice teas can all be found here at very reasonable prices. I cannot recommend it highly enough so do yourself a favor and when you are tired from walking the Mile, duck in to the cafe, find a comfy seat, relax and enjoy a true taste of Scotland.
I took my two Californian children to this fabulous cafe just off Royal Mile, a pebble throw from Worlds End Pub. What a great breakfast and so reasonably priced. Fresh produce. Smoothies for kids. Decent coffee for grown ups. A play area for quite small kids but such a comfortable surround and great place to chill. Staff can't do enough for you. My daughter had a stack of pancakes. The portions are decent. So stack means exactly that. Haggis included in full Scottish and my son adores a bit of haggis. Loved. As Arnie says "We'll be back"
A cozy and friendly with quality and tasty home-cooked food! It is a gem worth searching for on the Royal Mile! One of the only places with decent prices and great customer service. Breakfast pancakes and full Scottish breakfasts and classic lunch soups and paninis or hot dishes. A heart warming atmosphere indeed!!
Fantastic food served at a reasonable price. Great staff as well. Very friendly and willing to chat! Chilled atmosphere and a modern yet stylish layout makes this a place you should visit for lunch or breakfast if you're in Edinburgh.
A hidden gem! With a lovely play room with toys for the kids. But separately so you won't be disturbed by too much noise. However on Tuesday at 2pm they had finished all the food! They did managed to get us some sandwiches and stack of pancakes which were delicious though.
