Consistently a good pub. I thought the "What can't you get in the States" Whisky List was a very clever idea to engage with our transatlantic cousins. Nice to see a selection of dark beers on the pumps.

Wow. What a boozer. Been to Edinburgh plenty of times, but my first time popping in here. Whisky selection next level and came with some good bar knowledge as well. They didn't have what I wanted, but was comfortably able to recommend a great similar alternative. Live music during the day and evening (we were there on a saturday). Will definitely be back again

Small city centre characterful, traditional bar with occasional live music. Has a great selection of beers, whiskies and rums and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Toilets are down a rather steep set of stairs, so it may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

Spent a very enjoyable evening here. We were enticed in by the sound of live blues music. We then went on to enjoy several fantastically kept local ales, RumDMC being extremely good. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, so much so we'll be back for more today!!

Solo travelling through Europe and decided to stop in at this spot while I was in Edinburgh. Lovely quaint little pub with great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. Lots of different local beers to choose from to suit just about anyone’s taste!
If you’re up for a chat with locals and tourists alike, definitely give this pub a go!

Great little spot with local vibes, craft beer, and a fair selection of whisky at affordable prices.
Had a Jura 12 and an Ardbeg 10. Nice warmth as the sun comes through the windows. Cozy back area with some board games and a few tables. Wonder if they ever have fires in the fireplace? Staff was super friendly and helpful as well! Would return.
