A cute restaurant in Charlotte lane. Cool place to go to eat or hang out and have a few drinks on an evening. Great music and atmosphere. There are different seating areas with beautiful decor. The staff are friendly. Though the place was busy, service was reasonable fast. Be sure to check it out!

The hidden gem. This is an extremely nice venue. It has a cute covered heated seating area outside, with blankets for the cold. The place to go when it is cold and you aim to smoke a cigar, since it is extremely rare to find a place for a puff in Edinburgh. The staff is so nice. The music is cool. An extraordinary time with great drinks. Don’t miss it. 2 minutes walk from the Johnnie Walker.

It is a cozy restaurant, plenty of beers but the menu is not that big. I was a little disappointed when I got the steak. Flat as a paper, and over done. The pepper saus was way to salty.
Visit for the ambiance but won’t recommend the steak.

Fantastic staff so friendly and helpful , and the food ....wow , fish n chips so tasty, stack burger is delicious and smoky taste with a good big beefy burger , pulled pork and bacon. Beautiful interior and so cozy . Will definitely be back .

I love coming to indigo yard on a fri evening to see Bleeker playing who are wonderful, Lauren and Harris never disappoint they have the place jumping such a good atmosphere they made my friend claires 40th she had such a good night.cocktails where fabby look forward to returning soon.

It was a lovely surprise to find this place after walking down an alley & through road works. I nearly have up but I didn't as it was like walking into one of those Harry Potter tents! The food was good too, & the servers were all extremely friendly.

The breakfast was so fabulous! We came randomly to this place as we found it nearby our hotel. It not only has a lovely outdoor but also a beautiful indoor. Food was great, fresh atmosphere and staffs were so kind. Wanted to go back here already…

Friday 13th lunch treat with January 50% off food offer (not on drinks). We had a chorizo burger 🍔 and pulled pork tacos 🌮 with sweet potato fries 🍟. Dessert was a waffle stack with bananas 🍌, choc chips, ice cream covered in a caramel sauce. Yum 😋 😘❤️

This is a nice restaurant tucked away in Charlotte Lane off Queensferry Street. It has a covered seating area outside and the interiors divided into two separate areas. The decor is bright and modern. The food menu is relatively varied and everyone in my group of 12 was pleased with their choice. The drinks menu is reasonably varied too. Service is pleasant and efficient. Worth a visit.

I went along to Indigo Yard for my mother’s birthday for dinner and drinks. The food was lovely and great value for money and we loved the gin selections! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff even remembered a cake for her birthday which was lovely and she was so pleased with. Thank you to Amy and Julie and the Indigo Manager for a lovely evening.

As pretty as it can be, the outdoors are done beautifully. The indoor look is pretty decent too.<br/><br/>I ordered pancakes, which came topped with maple syrup. One of the pancakes was under cooked while the other two tasted pretty fine.<br/>The coffee tasted dissatisfying as well.

My first meal in Scotland did not disappoint. All the servers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Recommended great drinks to go with our meal and the menu had a great selection. I was very happy with the fish I was served.

For starters. <br/>Had the lentil and bacon soup. Couldn't fault it. It was very nice. <br/><br/>For main<br/>Had the steak pie with chips (which the chips weren't on the menu) absolutely amazing. Lots of meat in the steak pie. There was no fat or grizzle at all. The chips were more like wedges and, again, couldn't fault them. <br/><br/>The lassie's I was with had the Thai green curry and both of them said it was excellent. <br/><br/>All in all we enjoyed our visit to Indigo Yard. Thanks Zomato for highlighting this place to us. 😀

Set in the West End, in a tiny alley and almost hidden by Pizza Express, Indigo Yard is a big favourite of mine. Love their food and their drinks, love the service and the people there. I have taken several friends that were visiting Edinburgh to have dinner there and they all have loved it. <br/>Check out their offers of they day and make sure you try their delicious gnocchi. Honestly, really good value for money. Oh, it tends to get busy during the weekend, so book ahead.

Looking for a nice place for breakfast this morning and decided to eat and indigo yard as heard great things about it! Was quiet inside but loved the layout and decor! I ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup and it was delicious And also had a mango pick me up juice! Which was mango, raspberries and orange juice! Was delicious and fresh! Good value for money and think I will be going back for dinner so I can try the truffle Mac n cheese and a cocktail as the menu looked great!

Enjoyed a lovely dinner this evening with a few close friends, the 'Dine out for £10' for two course was great value! I opted for the Grilled chicken, bacon and pea shoot salad, followed by the Main of the Day; which was delicious!! The banoffee pie was really good too, though sadly we missed out on the x2 macarons and a hot drink offer for £5, as they'd ran out of macarons! (More reasons to go back, as the hot chocolates sounded incredible!) <br/><br/>It was pretty busy so service was a little slow, but the food was great and I really liked the decor too! I'd definitely go back to Indigo Yard it had a really nice atmosphere, the perfect place to enjoy a Kraken and Apple juice or two...

The jewel in the Montpeliers group crown. For a start, Shandon Stout is about as fine a pint of the black stuff you'll find in the city, and the Rebel Red, also brewed by Franciscan Well in Co. Cork, is at the moment my favourite beer full stop. <br/><br/>It's also a place where Montpeliers force the mainstream agenda in a more interesting direction than, say, another New Town establishment of theirs, Rick's. The Franciscan Well selection, for a start, and the flavourful Krusovice lager.<br/><br/>Of an evening it's bustling (read 'occasionally rammoed to a point of discomfort'), but the food is not too shabby and the design, turning an old yard into a canopied open space with mezzanine dining, is one of my favourite such instances in Edinburgh.<br/><br/>A note on price; it's not cheap, for beer especially. It's £5.70 for a Peroni, for example, and a schooner of the delightful Rebel Red will set you back about £3.50. That's money well-spent, mind you.

I hate writing a bad review so I will make this quick. Having booked this for a party of 9 for my 21st birthday I was expecting great things from the bar/restaurant. We booked the table for 8pm on a busy Friday night. As we arrived the place was already extremely packed full of people and hard to move about in. <br/><br/>After telling the waitress our reservation and getting ready to tuck into food as we were already growing hungry - we were then told our table had been wrongly booked for 9pm. And we would have to wait until then. Very kindly the staff did offer us a free round of drinks. Where we were given a very extensive drinks menu to choose from. <br/><br/>I had absolutely nothing bad to say about the quality of food or the choice and taste of any of the cocktails. However as we were eating so late there was a live band which was playing - they were extremely loud and made it very difficult to hear anyone at the table during this. Having originally been eating at 8pm as planned this wouldn't have been a.problem. <br/><br/>My advice don't go there with a large party and don't go for food after 8pm. <br/><br/>

Came here on a Saturday evening for a meal with a friend. Being a Saturday night it was busy so we knew we had to book in advance. We decided to have the two courses for £10 menu as we wanted, well two courses, and this seemed like a good option! <br/>The service was pleasant, as pleasant as it can be when it is so loud! The food came within a good time also considering how busy it was and there were other tables around us that were there for hen parties etc. <br/>There was a good selection on the menu to cater for everyone and there was a few things I had to choose between which was good! We both had the same dishes which were 'Braised Squid & Chorizo Pot with Garlic Croutons' which was lovely. The squid was cooked wel and wasn't 'chewy' like it can be when it becomes overcooked, but I would have prefered more pieces of chorizo and garlic croutons as the dish was very much a sauce and a side of bread needed to go with this starter. We then both had the Thai Green Chicken Curry with Rice. This dish was good also but the postion was on the small side I would say! Other than that the dish was fragrant - although I was picking out chunks of lemongrass as there were too many in my portion. <br/><br/>Overall, a lovely meal, with a good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Good value for money considering what you are paying and in the centre of town.
