New kid on the block on the stockbridge scene. Extremely tiny but cosy and does perfectly well for a casual meet up with friends if you like that sort of thing. Stick to the sandwiches which are beautifully made with great combination and dont bother with the cakes unless you get one of their custard tarts. Crisp pastry and smooth egg custard marry in a delicious mouthful
My love of a strong flat white has been mentioned before and after only 1 visit this great little cafe in Stockbridge has become a firm favourite for the following reasons:
1. Upon drinking a flat white the strong taste made me wide eyed and alert, mys spidey sesnses were tingling.
2. Their peanut butter brownie was just awesome.
3. The rest of their cakes looks even more awesome.
4. The girl serving was super friendly, none of this no emotion "what can I get you?" nonsense.
5. They have loyalty cards. I'm a sucker for loyalty cards.
6. All this coffee/cake goodness cost just £4 to take away...seriously, couldn't believe it.
All round top quality food and drink served with a smile. We shall be back.
We were looking for somewhere to have a quick breakfast before a day of sightseeing around frosty Edinburgh and stumbled across No. 33. Inside, it's tiny but cosy - the heaters were very much appreciated!
Our cakes were delicious (try the honey and walnut cake, seriously!) and drinks were spot on. It cost the three of us just under £14 combined for tea/coffee and cakes. The American in our group had to go for the toasted sourdough with peanutbutter, honey and bananas - she said it was perfect. Had we been there later in the day, we'd have been tempted by the bagels and sandwiches on offer too.
Wonderful friendly service, laid back atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone visiting Edinbugh - thank you, ladies!
Kept running by it and saying I need to go in and finally did! The carrot cake was outstanding. A nice selection of savoury pastries as well. Very polite staff.
Only downside is these advantages make it a bit busy!
Really cute cafe shop, I had tea a phenomenal sandwich with pastrami - honestly have to try - and my friend had coffee and apparently it’s out of this world (I don’t drink coffee!)
We loved the abundance of fresh ingredients used! We really recommend the mozzarella-pesto-grilled veg wrap / flatbread / see pictures. The service was really nice. Mattias finished his in about 16.37 seconds. We also had a gluten free friend with us, yet there sadly weren’t any gf options. We recommend to increase the portions a bit for the price and to eat it by the river :)

Stockbridge has some great little places for coffee and this is one of my favourites. A nice, relaxed atmosphere, and has really pleasant & welcoming staff.
A great place to sit and relax while drinking excellent coffee.
Really nice comfortable place with friendly staff and brilliant coffee. Food is a selection of bagels and wraps pre made that can be toasted along with various cakes and sweets
Came here on our first day in Scotland then went travelling around Scotland for three weeks and just couldn’t find coffee anywhere else that was better than here. Cosy, and small atmosphere and felt like a locals place. Highly recommend the drinks as well as there range of pastries sandwiches, etc!!
Very good coffee and cakes ! Even if it’s not home made :/
Really friendly place, food looked lush, wish I hadn't just eaten! 😍 Good coffee and lovely staff.
Very nice food and coffee. Nice staff and atmosphere. I love the Pastel de Nata, I think they're better than those I've had in Portugal.
Great coffee and brownies!
Very nice staff and a cosy seating!
