You'd be forgiven for walking straight past this cafe as it doesn't really stand out in the busy street. However appearances can be deceiving as this is a charming little cafe. The chicken shish kebab was freshly cooked and so tasty. The portion sizes were just enough and very reasonably priced. The staff were also charming and super friendly.
This place is unique. I eat there at least once a week.
Coffee is good, food is excellent and well served. The service is extremely fast.
Recommended for breakfast. The Turkish breakfast is delicious
Fantastic wee Turkish cafe. Food was delicious and fresh and the service was amazing. Surroundings perhaps wasn't the nicest but maybe that adds to the character. Really cheap too for what I had so would thoroughly recommend it if you like Turkish food.
Lovely Cafe, have been here many times and am never disappointed. The staff are friendly and the service quick. The food is good and presented well , always colourful with lots of interesting sides, love the kebabs.
Absolutely brilliant little find. Walking along, looking for somewhere to grab a sandwich or something for lunch, and soptted Café Turquaz. Whilst looking at the menu outside, was waved at by a very friendly looking smiling member of staff. The food we ordered sounded simple on the menu, but was done amazingly. The staff were very responsive and happy for us to be there, the food was brilliant, the value was great, the atmosphere was excellent, and it was so good, we stopped for dessert as well, instead of taking one away as we had planned. Nearly every table was full, but it never felt cramped, and all the tables changed patrons whilst we were in there.
Excellent food, mix of Turkish and deli-cafe. All freshly cooked. Lovely Turkish coffee. Excellent service.
Leave those chains alone and visit this place instead.

I have come here often over the last few years and am never disappointed by the stuff on offer or the service.
Since they have done the place up and moved things around I think it is even better as it allows people more space.
Very worth a visit if you're in the south side of Edinburgh.
Meze, Moussaka, Turkish breakfast and Shish kebabs all great! Some regular cafe lunch and takeaway stuff too. A few wee surprises on the menu - cafe Freddo, smoothies, Turkish bagel breakfast and chips and cheese ;)
Great food at great prices. The menu doesn't do the food justice. Everything sounds simple, but when the food comes out, it's great quality, big portions and tastes amazing.
Terrific little authentic Turkish coffee shop with usual offerings plus tasty Turkish bistro food which I find fresh and flavoursome. Friendly helpful staff and clean facilities.
