This is a bright and colourful place with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We went for afternoon tea, which was nice but hardly matching the patisseries scattered around the town centre. We went with a voucher which included prosecco aimed at the ladies no doubt and it certainly seemed to be working. I was the only guy there. Every other table taken by them. Coffee is very good, sandwiches were basic.
Owl & Deer is spacious inside and offers a few tables outside as well. The decor is colorful and bright, full of vivid purples and greens. Cheery fresh flowers adorn each of the tables adding a pop of life and vibrancy. In addition to coffee and food, they also offer a selection of wines and bottled ciders.
Fantastic little cafe on the main street. I would definitely consider myself a regular. My classic go-to brunch is the Eggs Royale with a breakfast tea. Their chef is top notch, and I am always happily satisfied. The large windows add a lot of nature light into the space which fills up with customers rather quickly around lunchtime. As a graduate student, I appreciate that they are comfortable enough to let me 'camp out' in a corner for a few hours of my day to work on my dissertation in their comfortable atmosphere. It's well worth a stop in for locals and tourists alike. I've never been for an evening meal, but their dinner menu looks equally appetising.
Super cute café, lovely hot chocolates. Friendly staff and light atmosphere. Super cute decor
The environment was cozy. A good place for relaxation. Food is good but not as good as the environment
Nice, elevated position on Leith Walk. Contemporary but not overly so, so nice feel to the place. Like the seating: mixture of relaxed and table set-ups. Great coffee! Haven't tried the cakes but they look nice. Friendly staff. Drinks reasonably priced.
Lovely atmospheres, friendly staff. I like fresh coffee and all the cakes and sandwiches. It was enough for all 6 of us. I will recommend this for office lunch or catching up with friends.
Visited for the 1st time a week ago and was very impressed. A work colleague had been there and had posted a couple of pics on Facebook. I thought I'd arrange for 3 of us to go and check it out. The meal we had was of good quality and tasty. Ambience is spacious and relatively quiet. It has interesting pics of owls and deer. I asked if the pics of owls were for sale, but assistant suggested she'd need to speak to her boss. I guess not, but a good chance of someone who paints/draws owls and deer to sell their paintings! It was relatively quiet when we were in, but I do reckon the assistant could have been doing with some help. Would defo go back.
3rd visit. A good flat white.
A great croque monsieur, the salad garnish whilst good, could've done with some dressing. Ok chips.
A great place if you're patient and got time on your hands, very accommodating service, lovely staff if slow.
Wi-Fi whilst complimentary is very slow even when sat next to the modem.
Would I go back?
YES because of the service, location and choice.
Very nice breakfast place,we went there for breakfast with my girlfriend,we had scrumbled eggs on toast,I choose the gluten-free option, staff friendly and nice atmosphere.
Really good eags Benedict, classic or with Salmon
A very nice place where you can get a very high quality of food at the right price. The place is quite and relaxed, perfect to stay with your girlfriend in harmony or by yourself.
Delicious food and nice place. Kind staff.
Had the chicken dish wrapped in bacon stuffed with blackpudding..which was amazing followed by spiced pear for dessert...now my all time favourite. Loved it!
2 large coffees and 2 cakes for under a tenner. Friendly service and nice seating. Great location.
Really cute coffee shop, we were just walking past and spotted it. Lovely staff and nice coffee and cakes.
Great breakfast and service to match.
