This is a bright and colourful place with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We went for afternoon tea, which was nice but hardly matching the patisseries scattered around the town centre. We went with a voucher which included prosecco aimed at the ladies no doubt and it certainly seemed to be working. I was the only guy there. Every other table taken by them. Coffee is very good, sandwiches were basic.
Owl & Deer is spacious inside and offers a few tables outside as well. The decor is colorful and bright, full of vivid purples and greens. Cheery fresh flowers adorn each of the tables adding a pop of life and vibrancy. In addition to coffee and food, they also offer a selection of wines and bottled ciders.
Fantastic little cafe on the main street. I would definitely consider myself a regular. My classic go-to brunch is the Eggs Royale with a breakfast tea. Their chef is top notch, and I am always happily satisfied. The large windows add a lot of nature light into the space which fills up with customers rather quickly around lunchtime. As a graduate student, I appreciate that they are comfortable enough to let me 'camp out' in a corner for a few hours of my day to work on my dissertation in their comfortable atmosphere. It's well worth a stop in for locals and tourists alike. I've never been for an evening meal, but their dinner menu looks equally appetising.
