Machina Espresso (nicolson Street) - Edinburgh - Photo album

Spoiled for choice in the Newington area, Machina Espresso is definitely my go to for coffee and a quick bite to eat in the area. A great place to get away from the rain, cosy nooks with cushions in each side of the shop add to the warm atmosphere and I could have stayed there all day. The service
Hands down the best coffee I’ve tasted in Edinburgh this place is a must if you’re a coffee lover. Amazing and quick service , small cafe but has really great vibe to it.
Great. Coffee. I went there with a friend to grab a cup; he had a cappuccino while I took a latte, and we both agreed our coffee was delicious. Soft yet rich and tasteful, and at the perfect temperature. A good thing, too, is that the mugs aren't too small. Although you are likely to finish your cof
If I lived in Edinburgh, this is where I would come for coffee every morning. Such a friendly atmosphere and staff. Coffee was fantastic and they had different single-origin roasts to pick from, which is different from most of the coffee shops I've found so far in the UK. This is definitely a place
Comfy welcoming coffee shop with fresh pastries and cakes to go with your kick ass flat white a lovely place to refuel whilst shopping in the area the team working here are friendly and the music is cool.
One of my favourite coffee places. The food is handcrafted and exceptionally fresh. The coffee is great, staff are very friendly. They have restricted WiFi at busy times which is great, the tables aren't all taken by single people with their faces in devices unlike other well known establishments ne
Delicious coffee and nice cake selection. Nice relaxed environment, not too noisy or pretentious.
I visited both coffee shops to get hold of a proper tamper to fit our home espresso machine. The first checked with the second to see if they had one, so I crossed town to buy it. Success! The staff in both shops were friendly and took time to be helpful. We've enjoyed their coffee in the past but d
Great flat white, also sells coffee equipment for enthusiasts and relaxing interior design with a lot of plants. Food is also excellent. Staff is very nice. Students often come here to study.
Great coffee shop in a bit of a random location - Nicholson Street is hardly known for its speciality goods... Every bit as good as the original Machina Espresso with in my opinion, more interesting interior design. A lot of effort has gone in to the shelving/table assembly and it shows. Had a carr
One of the best coffees in town! I love sitting at the high chairs at the front with a book or with a friend, get sunshine, nice music, smiley staff, ambience that matches my style! Keep up the good work guys!
Lovely coffee and super friendly service! At both shops :)
A welcome sister shop on the east side of the Meadows - doesn't feel quite as much as a hidden gem as the Brougham St branch, but the same excellent coffee (obviously), some good nooks to chill out in, and a big selection of coffee apparatus. Lovely staff too!
I'm in love with this coffee shop. Great food and drink and lovely staff, with a good range of equipment and beans for home brewing. In my top 3 Edinburgh coffee bars
Finding good coffee is not as easy in Edimburgh as in Brighton, so to speak. But this coffee shop would also be outstanding over there. Great coffee, nice cakes, cosy. Well done.
