After driving well over 200 miles from Walsall West Midlands to Edinburgh. We really needed a place to have something nice to eat. Very friendly staff, the food was superb and the atmosphere was ace. Felt very welcome � highly recommended.
Great pub friendly staff nice atmosphere. Really good food good value. Visited twice now on our stay in Edinburgh. Would recommend to anyone visiting.
Due to a little misunderstanding i got two portions of Rumpsteak with Chips,not a double Steak (16 instead of 8 oz). But because i was hungry i didn't really matter.The Steak was medium rare as i ordered,the chips were good,sides as well.Staff is friendly and service was quick, considering the fact that it was quite busy on a sunday evening.Loads of TVs to watch sport,good range of beers and spirits.Wish i went there earlier (and more often) during my holidays in Edinburgh.But there's always a next time.

I recommend the roast and Eaton mess sundae.
Three cask ales, I had the Jarl, which was good quality, and there's a 10% discount for CAMRA members. It's a bit off the main road so it's not somewhere you'll stumble across by accident.
Went here to watch Liverpool final had roast dinner, very nice, good service and good atmosphere. There were some supporting Chelsea but the banter was all good fun. The sound could have been better as you could not hear commentary.
Just a tourist trying to get off the beaten path, I found the perfect spot. Tucked away in a gorgeous neighborhood and full of friendly locals. Ohla was exceptionally sweet :). I highly recommend
A very busy bar on a Saturday lunchtime but service was nonetheless excellent atmosphere,prices attractive Hard working staff.
Beautiful place, very good service and food.
Decent lunch and friendly service in one of Edinburgh's oldest pubs. The menu is what you expect in this sort of establishment.
Enjoy drinking here occasionally both customers and staff are friendly I have eaten here previously just drinks this time 👍
Never made meal but really enjoyed company and alcohol great weepub food spot on kids really enjoyed meals and ma partner
