Went in for something to munch on the way home and possibly a couple cakes for the workmen who were dutifully rewiring my house at the time. There were plenty of nice staff around working away and I was served promptly. I decided to get a bridie (sensible lunch food) and a couple fudge doughnuts and a couple viennese swirl thingys, all in all came in at just under £5. The bridie was lovely. The pastry was just right, not too soggy or greasy and deliciously crisp. The filling was also excellent. The viennese thing was buttery and crumbly with jam in the middle and half dipped in chocolate. It was alright, but not something I'd get again. The fudge doughnuts were pretty awesome though! Dense delicious doughnut with yummie fudge glaze. Much better than the bready ones you get in greggs! I did notice that they had run out/ weren't stocking a couple items that day but they had plenty of selection in both hot food and cakes as well as some bread products and filled rolls. Unfortunately now I know about this place I feel I will never be free...

Tried a few different pies and pastries and all delicious! Mince and gravy pie is especially good. Very good prices for the quality too! It's cool that you can watch it all being made from the counter.
