The Mockingbird - Edinburgh - Photo album

Great place in the Newington area to grab a drink, though I'm not a big fan of the burgers there so can't recommend it for food at this time. That said though, I'd probably go back to try something else if I'm in the area.
We used the Mockingbird function room for a stag party and staff were extremely helpful. The buffet was excellent value for money and they gave us free reign with music and decorations. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and very tolerant of our drunken friend. I would highly recommend using th
The veggie platter to share is amazing as a starter for a group of 3 or 4. Tastes delicious! Especially the sweet potato fries are outstandingly good. Was really quiet on a Monday night, not a lot of customers. The staff is very friendly and they have a nice selection of craft beers.
This restaurant/bar has a really quirky, cool atmosphere and friendly staff. From the menu is choset the chicken stuffed with haggis and I wasn't disappointed. It was so tasty and the vegetables with it were cooked to perfection. A real treat and won't break the bank either.
Went to The Mockingbird for a bite to eat and the pub quiz on a Thursday. We had a burger, the nachos and the chicken fajitas - all delicious and good value. The atmosphere is really relaxed with cosy lighting and candles everywhere. The staff are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, we became las
I went here about a year ago on a trip through the UK with my girlfriend; we stopped in on a recommendation from a local, and it was absolutely worth it. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas paired with an Irn Bru soda and it was by far one of the best meals I've ever had. Friendly staff, comfortable at
We stopped in for drinks with friend's. It a nice looking place with a good selection of beers. It costs a little more for drinks here than other places we've been on the south side of Edinburgh but still very much inline with general prices within the city but the slection of beers does balance thi
Was in here for a private function in the room upstairs. Thought the bar was really cool, upstairs room is too and has table football plus sound system to play your own music. My only gripe was the kitchen is also upstairs and there was a really strong meat smell which was a bit rank. Maybe just a o
Such a cosy and welcoming place with really fantastic music, perfect for the vibes of the place. Also the bartender is really lovely, he has really friendly eyes. I will recommend and come back for sure
Great food and good selection of drinks. Nice function room and very friendly atmosphere and staff. Main bar area is cool and busy enough to feel like a good night out rather than just a local bar.
Great Bar & Kitchen. Warm atmosphere! Incredible friendly manager James. Ask for him and he'll tell you some great local tales. Had a blast!!! Recommended
Popped in here as we were eating at a nearby restaurant. Good selection of drinks on offer, served by very friendly staff. Did not eat, but the food others were tucking into looked very nice. Will certainly visit again if in the area.
2 of us had the 5£ lunch special and 2 others main dishes. Everyone found the food to be excellent. Great value, friendly staff. I highly recommend.
Decent food selection, decent drink selection. Could do with a bit more staffing when things get busy, but overall a lovely wee local pub.
Excellen staff so friendly. Lovely ambience when you go in. Great feel about the place. I recommend this for ladies or men nice meeting point or jusy a place to stay and enjoy.
A very nice cozy pub. Burger was yummy. Haggis very tasty. They have a tomato and chorizo bruschetta as a starter that was very good.
Excellent! Bar staff friendly, drinks nice and strong, plus they have football table you just need to ask about 👍
Nothing to complain about! The service was friendly, the food was tasty, and the pricing was good. Great place to go and have a great time.
