Excellent customer service and great food. Now know what ginger & wasabi are intended for at a sushi bar! Thank you to Gabriel & team for pulling out all the stops to ensure we got our sushi school class.Fantastic!
Amazing food and lovely place . Hi excellent staff .
I am vegan. Though I had only few options. Most of the dishes were so good and especially I liked the fried rice, french fires and tofu which was totally lit. Friendly staffs and totally good place to try a new food.
Loved loved loved the environment and super friendly staff! Since I’m a vegetarian, I was apprehensive about the menu at first but the staff suggested me such good options! Cucumber Maki roll, Veg Gyoza and Vegetable Yakisoba! I’d strongly recommend you all to visit and try! Note: since I love extra spicy, I ordered for chilli mayo on the side- delicious!
Yo and I have had a wonderful relationship since the glory days of Sumo Sunday. I was over the moon when I heard that the Princes Street restaurant was going to open, as there's not much by way of offers for us yo lovers in our glorious capital, and Harvey Nichols doesn't have as the full selection of dishes. The Princes Street Branch had the chance to become my second home. It has most definitely had it's teething problems, with long waits for food, hot dishes coming out luke warm, and service suffering a fair bit. I gave it a go soooo many times, and after every visit was adamant that would be my last. However, my visit last night is HOPEFULLY the start of things to come. The dishes were hot, and the squid was absolutely superb in comparison to every other trip (so good I had two plates.) There was new staff, who were a great laugh and keen to point out recommendations. New menu has lots of need treats...and I hope the level of service we got last night keeps up! Stick in!
I'm a big fan of Yo Sushi across the country especially over the years (it's improved drastically). It's fast food essentially. So great when I don't want to be bothered and eating by myself. The Yo Sushi here on Princes Street is by far better than the one at Harvey Nichols. And I'm only talking about just the food itself. It's especially good when you just want a snack.
I really like Yo! It's always tasty and service is good. I took my brother for his first ever sushi dinner and he loved it. It is so easy to try new dishes. It is a bit pricey but I still like it!
I would not call Yo Sushi the best sushi place in town but it definitely is good and service is fantastic. I liked that you could pick anything from the conveyer belt (not that many varied dishes, though) or order something from the menu if you wanted something different.
We went in just before 9, there was not a lot of sushi on the belt. Ordered from the menu and it was very tasty, but veeeeery expensive for what it was. 400m further there is a different sushi place, can get more and a bit tastier food for the same price. The view to the castle is great!
Wowie!!!! What a treat we were greeted by a very lovely lady I'm sorry I didn't catch your name but we hope your halloween party you held with your partner was amazing as it sounded. And back to the review we are super thankful for how you were so friendly and bubbly from the beginning and so kind of you to sit us at your favourite table we can see why the view of Edinburgh castle was so great to see whilist enjoying our usual favourites my husband loves yo chicken katsu curry and I love the sushi especially the salmon and vegetable ones. We was also very excited to see that they had a Halloween special on the sushi we are big kids and love something fun - well hats off to the chef because she made not only the advertised fun monster pumpkin sushi but also placed a spider web chocolate design on my chocolate mochi which are my favourite my husband loves the doriakyi pancakes the rasperberry sauce from it I love too and my husband who was very happy to see the spider wrote a message of thank you with my added heart to the staff for making our trip so beautiful. Drinks wise if you haven't had happy inside range lemon and yuzu very much recommend. As always lots of soy sauce, ginger on the side always great to have. Very much recommend visiting this branch of yo sushi if your in the area. 5 stars ✨ 🌟
Great place but let down by a couple of things, the food that was going round on the conveyor belt lacked lustre, not very appealing. The toilets were dirty, toilet roll on floor, didn't look like they had been cleaned all day! If we had gone in there first we would of left! Despite not knowing this, we had ordered off the menu and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we won't return here x Tut Tut Yo Sushi we are extremely disappointed in your hygiene.
This place was great. Loved the warm edamames, the spicy tuna poke bowl and all the siders. The staff was super friendly and you can order from their website or just take the dishes from the roller.
The ordering system was good. Just had to scan on the table and pay. Apart from it, a unique conveyor belt was running at the boundary of the entire restaurant. On it all the dishes were kept and passing here and there. If you find something tempting, you have to pick it up and inform the waiter at the end so that you can pay them separately for it.
Service was quite good. I would say not good for large groups due to the seating arrangement it had.
Food I tried:
1)Veggie Firecracker Rice- The quantity was good but overall taste was more tangy.
2) Inari Taco- It was served cold, but tasted really good.
Superb view and excellent service. I don't like fish but strangely really enjoy salmon sushi and I loved it.
LOVE IT 😻 Will I be back? Of course! When? Very soon! 🙏🏽
Price pp would be around £30 including a drink.
Food is very nice and they have a good selection.
Service was also very good.
10/10
I had a quick lunch here on Saturday and I think the table before us walked out without paying and we accidentally got stuck with their bill.. Without thinking, I tapped my card and it only clicked after the fact that the price the waitress mentioned was over four times what my bill should have been!
Adrien, the manager, was absolutely amazing and arranged for my refund within minutes and it came into my account two days later. Normally, I would have just been refunded what I hadn’t ordered but I was refunded the entire bill apart from the service charge (£2 something)!
I barely even got a second to panic about the mistake and I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. Honestly, this location has a lovely staff :)
The usual YO! fare and back to more normal service with the conveyor back in action post-pandemic. Seating is limited so book to be sure to get a place. Great views of the gardens and the castle if you get a window seat. The stopped escalator in the entrance detracts from the atmosphere a little.
Really fast service. Seating areas near the windows has a great view toward Princess St and the castle. Sashimi was fresh. JFC was crispy and sauce was good. Cucumber roll and Cali roll was crunchy and flavourful. Fries were nicely topped and seasoned. Staff were friendly.
