Great local health food store with an amazing owner. Super friendly would offer me a homemade tea when I would come in and talking me through and letting me try the amazing homemade falafel he makes.
I realy do enjoy shopping at Jordans, i like herbal tea( loose chamomile or elderflower), as for herbs and spices they are the best ive come across, such a wide selection at reasonable prices, staff and owner very helpful, tried to call the shop to check for supply to pick up(phone number on site is not valid). Sure it just needs to be updated. Thank you Jordans for all you do, great store🥰
passed this shop today and decided to have a peek, and im so glad we did! I bought some beautiful soap and tea, and a nice can of kombucha. the owner was extremely kind and chatty, and let us try teas and his wonderful homemade jam. If I lived in edinburgh I would go all the time!
Very nice. The owner is very cool and communicative. You can find good tea there plus some other stuff. Thumbs up
Friendly staff and good prices on essential foods, especially olive oil and teas. Highly recommend!
This place is great for wholefoods that are often not stocked in other places. Simply massive tea and spice collection - particularly good for Middle Eastern spices, which nowhere else seems to stock.
Brilliant shop - incredible selection of teas and healthy foods, including Middle Eastern ingredients that are hard to find elsewhere. Plus, the owners are generous and lovely people. Rather than binning nearly-expired but still very tasty foods, the owners often hand them out for free to customers as a thank you. Can't really beat that.
I am not sure how to review this business. Although they have a large selection of items that cannot be bought anywhere else their raisins were very dry as were their apricots which may be that some of their stock is a long way past its sell buy date.
I won't judge Jordan Valley for their dry foods: a huge range of spices, dried herbs, teas, coffees, staples (like bulgur wheat and other grains), canned and dry beans, canned soups and tomatoes, chocolate bars, halva, dried fruit, some plant milk in cartons, too.
They sell some chilled bottled drinks, such as kombucha - if you're in need of kombucha, you'll find it there!
But I REALLY don't like your ready meals - flavour is great, ingredients are great, but they are just SO GREASY. If you could put way less oil in, e.g. in the vegetable biryani, I would love them and eat them all the time. But for someone who can't tolerate excess quantities of oil, my advice is: stay away from Jordan Valley ready meals. I felt sick for half of the day after I had their rice meal.
-Great shop
-Plenty of Vegan options
-Stock several ethical, sustainable, Fairtrade and organic brands
-Larger store then expected from the front
-Very reasonable prices
-Makes several products of their own including falafel, muffins, slices and cakes
