The shop maybe doesn’t look like much however best breakfast and loved the make your own breakfast option. Caramel Latte was the best coffee I’ve ever had, actually tasted like caramel unlike many larger chain cafes which would be more expensive. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Best breakfast for early birds
If you are looking for an early breakfast in Edinburgh (7 am), then there is not much choice, and this is the place to go (each day starting at 7 am, except for Sundays, then at 9 am). I know this Cafe since many years, and the excellent quality has not changed. One can choose between a large variety of breakfasts (from small to big hunger), and the prices are VERY reasonable. Somewhen after or during covid, the cafe has been renovated in part, but it still gives the feeling of older times, simple but cozy. I highly recommend it, and will certainly come back on my next trip to Edinburgh.

Went here for our breakfast whilst on holiday. Refused to pay the overpriced Holiday Inn breakfast. Food was brilliant, very good value and quality was also good. Service was excellent with food freshly prepared and brought straight to our table. Very reasonable priced and just on the bus route into Edinburgh City centre. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back.

Perfect greasy spoon caf. Lovely cuppa and a real good cheesy omelette breakfast that was very much big enough to fill me up till lunch. Nice friendly folks too.
